Would mikel/essien work with mikel finaly being utilised further forwards and being able to feed the frount me far easier than in his more restricting role that he performs at the moment, alternativly this would be the ideal time for ballak to come back

Did it after training, a few practice shots at Petr. Chelsea TV are saying that hopefully it won't be too serious but I have my doubts.

...and malouda hasn't trained this week....

We have Sidwell, Mikel, Essien and Maka to chose from in the middle - doubt any of them can replace Frank adequately (in terms of forward runs and goals) but at least Jose has time for a re-think tactically and we don't have another game for two weeks (f**k England) so hopefully Frank will only miss this one for us.

They're talking about Lamps being out for a couple of months. Sad news if it's true but it's not the end of the world. It will be interesting to see who can fill his shoes now. Essien, Mikel, Ballack, Sidwell?

He's been the one player in form for us and scoring goals and we lose him just when we play a team we never do well against.

I like this too, but with the way Jose utilizes Essien, I would see him defending and mikkel go forward
