Simple question, please think hard about it.

I don't want knee-jerk reactions ruining teh survey

Would you rather win the league and Keep Grant, or would you rather finish second and have Grant leave at the end of the season.

Should be very interesting IMO.....

I vote for Grant in win the league!

Do you honestly think if we finish 2nd Grant will be sacked? After the season we have had with Mourinho going and all the injuries and players missing @ the african nations cup I think Abramovich will give Grant more time. icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok. Why no Grant out / Win the League option?

I can't see anyone going for Grant In / Finish Second, so I'll let you off that one icon_wink.gif

Really tough one for me but after about half a second I decided to vote win the league and keep the manager.

Surprised? I know you are

Good to see your all jumping to conclusions about what I think and who I voted for.

I voted for the league win as well.

It is interesting because of I have seen a lot of posts on this forum wanting Grant out at all costs.

I saw when I voted that no one had voted 2nd and Grant out, although they have now,

The thing is I think everyone knows where everyone stands on it and people are just starting to settle down a bit and get on with the rest of the season without arguing amongst themselves over the manager,

Most of us want Chelsea to win whatever so six weeks getting behind Grant whatever we feel should happen to him at the end of the season (surely nobody thinks before) is no hardship being as we still have two important competitions to play for.

I thought about this subject this morning but without the poll option icon_rolleyes.gif

interesting question - if we won the league I guess Grant won't be leaving just yet. And if we finish second that is still one hell of an achievement. so ......................

ahem......league win at all costs. got a feeling we will be getting a new coach anyway.

I don't like the man - he really does nothing for me. I'd be delighted if he left as I think we can do much better than him as manager.

Come on Chippy, don't look so shocked to hear me say that!

But I voted for winning the league and Grant staying. At the end of the day if we win stuff I'll grow to love him. (Well, at least tolerate him anyway.)

I don't think it is such a sh*t poll btw - seems a perfectly reasonable question to me. and welcome to the forum as well.

I don't get that. What assumptions where? I think my previous post in this thread goes a long way towards explaining why I haven't voted.

icon_eek.gif I always had you down as a fan,

without getting into one of our long debates, can you just clarify something for me?

when you say if we win stuff you'd tolerate him I wonder what else is your criteria for a manager keeping his Job? I know entertaining football is one that Roman (and I) want but we are going to be discussing that when new players have come in and excuses are few,

other than playing some nicer football and winning things I can't think what else I would want from a manager,

just curious what you would want.

Azz...Welcome to the forum mate, happy0034.gif

Welcome to the forum Azz!

I'd like to see us play better football and perform more consistently and I'm not sure if we're gonna do that with Grant as our manager, but I don't think our league finish is gonna affect Grant's position at the club too much, so I'd rather see us win the league. I mean, who wouldn't want to see us win the league? icon_eek.gif::Scalf::

yeah, sorry about that. didnt read the poll right. though it had grant out both times.....whoops.

Some would call that "wishful thinking". icon_lol.gif

Given that we have only won the title three times in our entire existence forgive me for saying I I am not quite at the stage of growing tired of it yet!

I don't care if it is Tea Bar in charge of the club and the new official strip sees us decked out like a flock of sheep on a winter's day - give me the league title above anything else!

Winning the league, I'm surprised people think otherwise.

surprised? no. disgusted? yes. no right minded chelsea fan should want anything other than a win.

win at all cost!!!!!!!! If grant is truly inept, he will be found out and be gone before too long. I also think that we will get another manager regardless. All of Grant's speeches about building for the future, he could still think that when he''s Director of Football

Anyone wanting us to finish 2nd, when we have lost a manager, had the ACN and all the injuries and suspensions...I think this would be our greatest league win. It would also be really sweet when everyone a few months ago, and by everyone I mean all those people in the press, saying that it was a 2 horse race and Chelsea weren't even to be considered. Still, they expect us to still feel that Arse are in contention

I think by now everyone knows where i stand on Grant and i maintain we are where we are right now because of the players and not him, in fact we are where we are now in spite of Grant and not because of him.

Still, chippy, its very hard to argue with what you've written there and its the best post ive seen for months.
