Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2026/27
A few tight matches so far this season. While they are the favourites and the strongest team I don’t think Arsenal will have it as easy as a lot of people think. This is the most competitive league in the world for a reason.

That was a good watch. I like to point out negatives so ill raise my concern that I hope we address in the future. 25% possession......now I hated having 80% possession and doing nothing with it but if our possession stats are going to be this low, I want to see more structure and solidarity when defending. We look like we can concede so easily and are at the mercy of so many dangerous attacking chances.

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
A serious injury to Caicedo would completely derail the season. We need to sign someone to cover for him. Can't risk it.

Personally, I thought the defenders themselves played very well, bar Colwill who looked a bit off the pace at times today. The midfield was the problem for me. They gave no real cover for the defence when Brighton were coming forwards.

Levi Colwill
Yup gotta be patient with him

Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
Josh could really give him a run for his place. His ground defending was solid today, headers never really found anyone. We need options - went thru all 5 CBs today, so that tells you something.

Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
Xabi downplayed the injury a bit, which I guess most managers would do. Its obvious we need another body in CM - Lavia can't last 90 (yet, hopefully that day consistently comes soon in PL), James out of position, Gusto even further out of position, untrusted Barco (although seems a decent option), and no idea on Henderson yet!

Levi Colwill
Give him time. He’s had 1 year out of football. In an ideal world he wouldn’t be starting games until he’s ready but sadly we haven’t got any better defenders.
-
Morgan Rogers
He does fall asleep sometimes with his defensive duties but going forward he is top quality. He’ll get a ton of assists this season.

Levi Colwill
He was just as erratic an error prone before his injury this isn’t new behaviour. Rushes into challenges argues with refs out of position etc
-
Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
Really good start so far. Defence isn’t great but thank goodness for Lacroix. Dread to think what our defence would be like without him. I think the defence will find its feet eventually, with Colwill still behind after injury. Palestra still to come back to displace the useless Gusto. Martinez in goal. Our midfield isnt settled yet. Give it time we’ll get there. Our attack… incredible.

Pedro Neto *Official*
I don't think the mistake was that bad and to be honest we already messed up before he did that and there was lots after that could have been done to prevent it. Had a good game overall imo.

Malo Gusto to Chelsea
He was okay at the start in CM but as game went on just got worse.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2026/27
Carrick is clueless way out of his depth, he wants to shoehorn players into the team, in pre season Mbuemo played every game as a striker, and he has played Cunha there in both games who is crap, biggest waste of money is Tierlemanns who keeps giving away the ball

United losing to Ipswich. It's mad, it's like they have gone back to Solskjaer days. Rashford back in, the clown Maguire in defence, Shaw in there too.
-
Morgan Rogers
Adds a lot to our attack, but badly needs to up his defensive work. He has been at fault for goals in both games by not doing his defensive duties.

As business cases go I don't think Alonso could have set it out any better. Clearly Lavia and James need a stronger presence alongside them, the rubbish Gusto doesn't belong here, and Caicedo re-injured in 12 minutes. He must be given the tools in these last two days. Personally I'd still like another grown up CB as well as I am still not totally convinced by Colwill tbh

Watching back he made a mistake but that should not lead to a goal. Everyone switched off for the quick throw in , Rodger’s had no urgency to stop the quick throw and Colwil is just tragic and it’s not like he was any different before injury he was just as erratic and error prone.- Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
It was enjoyable to watch. Brighton were never that close to us - a deflected second goal hardly had me in a sweat. Some lovely football going forward. Better than Rosenior. Best few games ive seen for a while. Up the Chels.- Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion (Premier League) Sunday 30th August — 14:00 BST Stamford Bridge

Because we are a lot more direct in attack, we get a bit more out of him. He made a big error when we went 3-0 up though. Panicked and rushed to the Brighton attacker and left us badly exposed when he just needed to contain. We need Palestra and Chavarria on the pitch, wing backs that have a more natural understanding of the defensive game.- Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion (Premier League) Sunday 30th August — 14:00 BST Stamford Bridge
Thank f**k the guy who would have scored the equalizer last year was sitting on our bench lol - Pedro Neto *Official*
