  2. Yeah give him time. He’s great and the type of personality we want in defence. The system we play currently exposes the outside centrebacks quite a bit. They are having to deal with a lot of 1v1 high tempo defending. Despite us conceding a lot these days, I enjoy this type of football much better than the dross served up for the last 2 years. All in all very happy!
  3. I'll give him credit when he earns it. A game where he did a few things well but mistimed so many headers is not my idea of a good performance.

  7. When it comes to posting in the Fofana thread you need to use your other account @nonotnowscott He could score a hatrick and make 6 goal line clearances and you still wouldn't give him any credit.

  11. I have a hard time rating that performance as good. Too many errors from him, especially when it came to heading the ball. Standards should be a lot higher.

  13. The tackle he made on the edge of our box in the first half was class. Had to make up ground to get the right side of the player and had time it spot on.

  16. I’ve always wanted to sell Enzo ever since he started twerking for Real Madrid, but the way City are pissing about, and making a 85m offer for Gakpo, they’re taking the piss now. I’d be very tempted to tell them to f*ck off and keep Enzo. Get Camara in. Enzo can decide whether he wants to rot in reserves all season or get his sh*t together and try to have a good season then maybe he’ll get his move to Real Madrid next year. I’m very disappointed he’s not gone by now but I really do feel like telling City to piss off now.
  17. First half done.... 😂
  18. Brighton away in Sept 1983.
  19. And now the anxious wait to see how serious the injury is. Just please hope hes not out until Xmas. Last season Colwill and now Moi
  20. Think the ‘large poles’ in front of the terracing, are a safety precaution for the speedway! Might be completely wrong!
  21. Doesn’t look as if we’re in for many 0-0 draws this season, does it!😀
  22. At which point does this sh*t get called out for lies that it has to be. What can the possibly have to talk about to be speaking every day. I don't even speak to my own children every bloody days. Total bullsh*t.
  23. That is fair enough though. It's a competitive sport and always has been. Until now his fitness, progress through strength training, and actual form hasn't warranted more game time. But chances will arise. Players shouldn't be playing through the pain barrier or getting overuse injuries. When his chance comes along it's up to him to grab it which will then keep him in the team. It's never been any other way. I do have some concerns that the bulking up and strength training has slowed him up a bit and has affected that explosiveness and speed of thought that he had. I also actually think that regardless of Estevao, Germany Quenda could actually be the next real thing. Nobody is talking about this kid yet, and he is yet to have a run out in his favoured position. I'm praying he hasn't also fallen foul of the Cobham injury curse.
  24. I assume by control you mean more possesion. It got nothing to do with midfield. Very similar to vs Fulham we played in low/medium block 343. So it is very difficult for us to get the ball back.
  25. “Chelsea’s Estêvão is a dream target for Liverpool, who made a loose inquiry to Chelseain past 24hrs but were told door is not open to exit; now weighing up move to test London club’s resolve.” Fully expected this, and can see them trying again in Jan, and if we resist he will move in the summer.
  26. The first 2 goals are not his fault, in fact he made a save for the first one. The last goal could maybe have been saved but not certain. It came at the very last seconds in the game in his debut so no need to be too critical.
  27. Chelsea missed 2 sitters with joao and palmer chances but still managed to score 4 to a team that just had 4 nil result in their previous PL game. It means offense is now back on working mode but defense looks a bit suspect. However, it's not a typical of having 1 and sacrifice the other because the issue lies more on individual errors. Should be okay. And based on this game performance, think pedro neto should be kept.
  28. Morgan Gibbs-White is one player put forward we could go after if we get the Enzo sale.
  29. He didn’t sh*t his pants every time there was a back pass .. was decisive too..
  30. Fabrizio has also said the reports out of France and Belgium that the deal is done are not true. No agreement, Monaco want to keep the player but cannot turn down a big offer.
  31. He's on the short side, as are Barco and Caicedo. I'd like to see some big lumps of granite in the midfield.
  32. Next week against Arsenal will be fun but I just don't see how we win. Our attack can cause problems but their defence will make it difficult. They outnumber us in midfield with power and dynamism. Our system enables us to have half a dozen defensive units but they don't feel cohesive which leads us to getting opened up. Hope Xabi has a masterplan.
  33. When a team changes style and managers there are always a couple of players who completely turn around their form. Maybe Fofana could be one of them.
