Sad loss. I've seen 6 of those play live over the years 🙂

What TV Show Are You Waarching?
Very much enjoying Hunters on Amazon Prime and also re-running Hill Street Blues from the very start on All4 - That stands up really well considering it's 30-odd years old.

Following our Nearest & Dearest Rivals 2019/20
I was just chatting to my boss who is a Liverpool "supporter" from Berkshire, and I told him Liverpool always used to play away in Europe like Atletico did and that it looked like this virus thing might deny his favourite team their Leicester City moment. It all went quiet for a moment then he put the phone down. That's f**ked my pay rise and appraisal then.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Apparently, the opening verse to the Ode to Joy, the EU anthem, is perfect to wash your hands to. "Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Tochter aus Elysium, Wir betreten feuertrunken, Himmlische, dein Heiligtum! Deine Zauber binden wieder Was die Mode streng geteilt*; Alle Menschen werden Brüder* Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt."

Surely you mean the German Austrian Lewis Cook?

The 'oldies' who would you keep?
Not seen him around for a long time in here. And I keep well clear of the match-day thread while the game is on. I think thew actual match chat died. a long long time ago.

The 'oldies' who would you keep?
Excellent historical reference to the Shed End's favourite old xenophobic dinosaur! (Well Francophobe, at least)

What will our starting XI be next season?
Is that bloke a Bournemouth fan who just doesn't like their shirt colour or something?

Tammy Abraham
Yes, I know 🙂

We're after brexit - how's that working out for the country, then?

I also think agents bullsh*t all the time. Brexit Johnson would make a perfect football agent, all bluster and bullsh*t, and the only way you can tell he is lying is because his lips move.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Nothing to do with cults or otherwise, it's just very sloppy debating to make quite a big, bold use of statistics that were effectively meaningless. I've already expressed my view about Barkley, he doesn't have a natural footballing brain but has stepped up recently. To be honest, I have lost track over whether you are arguing for or against one, some or more of Barkley, Kovacic or Jorginho, so I'm not getting in the middle of that, but nebulous comparisons don't help your case, whichever way you are going.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
But what colour pants was he wearing?

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Context is all. Who were they playing? Who else was in the side? What was the weather like? Who was the referee? Were they home or away? Had they played in the previous match? What was their state of fitness? What did they have for breakfast? Were they out on the piss the night before? Did they sleep well? What relevance does that particular statistic have to anything? At all?

Tammy Abraham
True. I think the press like to do a bit of stirring, not just in our club. They all are just guessing. Maybe total annual salary bill gets published as part of the clubs accounts, and directors' emoluments used to be declared, but I'm not sure even that is true these days. But they have to fill column inches and they have to generate clicks and one of the tried and tested methods is to print "player X gets so much, player Y wants more, what does player Z think about that, player W is unhappy - oh look we have a story!"
