We played some good football in the first half but halfway through the second half it had 0-0 written all over it. I just could not see the goal coming. Thank the lord for Cech and Willian.

If we win the league, in no way will Drogba's legacy be tarnished.

I can't believe anyone is feeling Drogba has in any way tarnished his reputation, legacy or whatever here, I commend him for coming back to a club he loves and doing his best to help them achieve more success, he hasn't let us down in any way, maybe a couple of lacklustre performances (how many of our players haven't had a couple of them this season?) but some decent ones as well.
 
He will always be the player that won Chelsea their first CL and he will always for me be a legend.
 
If he has a bad game, I'll support him, the manager watches him in training and feels he still has something to offer, we rest other players when he's on the field and he has been decent enough off the bench as well, I've not seen much of Remy to say he is a better second choice and obviously its horses for courses, Jose will know when to and how to use the two of them to our advantage.
 
I think he's doing as much from the sidelines and in training to have a big influence on how our season pans out and I don't begrudge him a minute on the pitch.
 
I really hope he stays on in some capacity after his playing days are over but I'm in no hurry for the day to come.

I would assume most of those 31 games are from the bench. Benzema's record for France is 25 in 76. Is he a bad striker? I wonder why Madrid keep starting him. Or a better comparison would probably be Nicolas Anelka who's record is 14 in 69 (worse than a goal every 4 games). Was he a bad striker? Oh and we bought him from Bolton when he was 29 years old and pretty much no one else was interested in him. Didn't turn out to be so bad did he?
 
Jose made a mistake starting Drogba and he corrected it. I doubt we'll see him start again this season if both Costa and Remy are available but he has already proved this season to be more useful than people expected.

Hopefully he retires and joins our coaching staff at the end of the season.
He's a club legend, played a massive part in every single trophy we have won in the Abramovich era.

Rami doesn't slow play down at all. He's actually one player that can come off the bench and speed things up if play is too slow as he did vs Liverpool. We all know his weakness is controlling the ball and making successful combination passes but all in all he's a very good addition to have.
I would like to see Ake instead of Mikel though as I believe he is a better player

When did Rami ever slow things down? He doesn't slow anything he is just not very accurate passer in a slower pace. He expects everyone else to be as quick at running as he is from the look of things.

After Ollic missed that golden chance in extra time, I couldn't watch no more. My body wouldn't allow it.

Might be my favourite video from that night. The way the Germans were about to cheer at 4:05 is brilliant, then the roars when Cech saves then Drogba scores are unforgettable.

Good footballer, but seriously he does have somewhat a brain fade in the final third imo.

To be fair if anything Cahil has been far to aggressive this season not lenient.
 
He reminds me of David Luiz here, just going for the unnecessary challenge which almost results in a yellow card, just doesn't have to make it.
 
If we are going to haev a go at Cahill here we should at least be having a go at some of the other players that didn't even bother taking Sterling down such as Matic.

He's not out of form or anything. He's just an average defender lol. He was good last season because of our sitting deep and counter football. This season when we are mostly playing high he's being exposed.
 
If we start to play Zouma I bet he wouldn't do any worse than Cahill imo.

Whenever I see this thread bumped, I always think that there has been some breaking news. Then I get disappointed when I read the latest post.

The pushing it back into play instead of conceding a corner is something i noticed of Courtois in his days at Atletico. He should be pushing these shot's around corner really, he is so good from corners and set pieces that he can afford to concede corners from time to time. He was great yesterday though and was the reason why we didn't lose the match.

The bias on here is amazing. As good as Costa is, Kun is different gravy. To also say that Sanchez is not on the same level as Bale is also bloody nonsense.

Amazed he hasn't been injured yet, I don't think since George Best has a player so constantly been kicked to sh*t.

Thoughts on Far Cry 4 in comparison to Far Cry 3 so far.
 
Pros:
- The graphics are better, it looks far more realistic.
- When you set a waypoint the mini-map lets you know the quickest way of getting there using roads.
- Huge map with plenty to do.
- The Karma system.
- Fortresses. Outposts in Far Cry 3 seemed very similar to each other and fortresses changes things round a bit.
- Menu layout. It's far better having everything useful on the same page as the map and leaving the "start" menu for options/controls and quitting etc.
 
Cons:
- Driving. The new driving controls are awful so I had to change them back to the standard using R to move, rather than just a joystick.
- "Out of bounds. Please turn around." I like exploring straight away and the fact that you couldn't explore the map at all till a few missions in was annoying. I don't mind the North bit being locked for a while, as the South Island was in Far Cry 3 but you could barely get anywhere till a few missions in.

Ok poor choice of words. He is not carrying us as much as other players in opposition teams, but he is heavily involved and still has too much responsibility for my liking. There comes a point where he needs a few games rest, but at the moment he is too influential. We could cope without costa (we have done already) and fabregas to a certain extent, but without hazard our creation and attack options are hugely diminished. No one else in our team is as good as he is at creating from nothing.

Why is everyone suprises about Willians attacking threat??????
Willian didn't suddenly come to Chelsea and regress as an attacking player. If Jose and his scouts did their homework which I'm sure they did, then they would've known willan was never prolofic. He does the job that Jose wants him to so but not the job us fans want him to do.

Just because you criticise a player or are aware of a time when they were in the wrong, it doesn't mean you cannot appreciate them and still laud their greatness on the pitch and lessons learned off it.
We badly need JT fit for the whole season if we want any success.
