  1. Amazing that despite having a huge lack of creativity right now, we loan him out to a team that has Allen, Britton and Sigurdsson. Christ, I wonder who's bright idea that was?
  2. Funny how some idiots boo'd Danny off the pitch on Saturday (and by the way, he really wasn't that bad, and this effort/aptitude thing being discussed earlier is bollocks - he was making lots of silly mistakes which was frustrating the crowd, it wasn't through a lack of effort) and yet without him last night we looked utterly gutless upfront, and clueless every time we went forward. Yes he's frustrating, yes he makes mistakes, and no, he's not the sort of player you really want tracking back and helping to defend... but yesterday at 1-0 up we were getting absolutely hammered and desperately needed an outlet - someone dangerous, someone with a bit of pace, someone direct and someone who would have worried their defenders and prevented them from throwing everything at us. For all the bad things he brings to the team, he's capable of things that no other Chelsea player are IMO and for that reason alone I think, and hope, he's going to have a very important role from now until the end of the season.
  3. We're still only 2 points behind Tottenham/Newcastle and 4 points behind Arsenal. It's not over yet guys. Last night was depressing though, very similar to Wigan in that I honestly believe if we had lost the game we couldn't have felt too aggrieved. The players didn't so much look tired as they looked utterly f**king apathetic, often at times ambling around the pitch with absolutely no idea. Our midfield was just shocking. Yes, Torres was poor, but he received absolutely no service all game, we have absolutely no creativity whatsoever. Another worry for me is that we're desperately pushing for fourth place, which will be a challenge in itself, as well as going for both the FA Cup and the Champion's League. I think if we go for all three we may end up with nothing.
  4. Why did this thread get bumped?
  5. Is that because it usually means Bosingwa is on the right?
  6. Bullsh*t. I'm probably one of these 'day trippers' you mention (only 6 games this season) but it was the people around me that seemed to be season ticket holders and regulars that were boo'ing Studge as he went off. And don't get me wrong, there were a lot of people from my side of the Shed Lower doing it... As I mentioned in the other thread, there were a couple of guys going f**king mental too when they suspected someone of being a Liverpool fan. Actually mental. Quite embarrassing.
  7. Good result today, Branna was immense - scoring at one end and then a goal line clearance a minute later. Nice to see a cameo from the Chelsea pigeon too! Enjoyed the game and thought in honesty we deserved to win it, even though we left it bloody late! Ref didn't do us any favours. Saying that, it was somewhat ruined by a chorus of boos around me when Sturrige went off, and some twat going absolutely f**king crazy because he thought someone say near us was a Liverpool fan :/
  8. Going to this tomorrow, got to say I'm really nervous about the outcome :( Wigan have had some very good results lately
  9. Urgh. Watching these videos now, f**k Barcelona. Such a vile team.
  10. Whilst I agree it'd be a great boost to have him on the team, but I think you're doing a great disservice to Cahill, Luiz and even Ivanovic here. They're all more than capable of putting in a great performance at centre back. f**king awesome to read through that article on the Guardian though, broken ribs and he's happy to play through it. Absolutely legend.
  11. Seems like The Globe is the place to go then, is it really close to the ground?
  12. f**king hell do I ever hate Barca. Really pains me to think there's a very good chance we'll go out to these c**ts. But just imagine how sweet it'd be to knock them out. KTBFFH!
  13. How the hell ANY other team any that'd be an instant red.
  14. Is Mourinho referring to the fact he thinks that Barca are miles better than Chelsea, or simply that it doesn't matter how well we play, the officials will ensure we don't progress?
  15. wu.... what? Also three pages and no one posted a link, bloody hell, can't believe you lot made me go through all the effort of having to Google it! http://www.chelseafc.com/page/PlayeroftheYear/0,,10268,00.html
  16. I hope you're right Blueblur, but I do hope we don't see the players playing "without too much effort"!!!
  17. Get in! Just managed to get four tickets! Thank you so much mclovin :-) Que sera sera!!!!
  18. Had a similar thing with the Newcastle game, although thankfully the ticket is only just behind our seats - hoping to switch with someone sat next to us when we get there!
  19. How many loyalty points do you need? I only have two members on 18 and 12 so not very hopeful of getting a ticket (though ideally I'd want 4... no chance!) Also interesting that the expensive tickets will be the best atmosphere, I thought for some reason it'd be the other way around
  20. Agreed, Ivanovic = legend. And future captain.
  21. Just came in here to post that, it's amazing how much stick Terry got from opposing fans for actually working with Roberto, yet there is a f**king HUGE lack of respect for his manager, and his manager immediately submissing.
