I agree, I felt we must have had something agreed in principle for other defenders. Now we have a home game against Bristol Rovers where our back four will be largely unchanged.. it's staggering. Unless Tomori or Clarke Salter are getting a game? But then you risk losing with an untried defense that consists of Aina and one of those two and I think we are a good shout in the cups this year

This is a Chelsea problem, not just Ivanovic. Everyone who takes corners (Fab/Willian and now Hazard) lolly the ball into the first man on a regular basis. We have some seriously good headers of the ball but we have been rather deficient in crossing for a few years now.

Don't you think it would be better to bring in a 25-30 year old CB this season so they can see how the John Terry's and Brana Ivanovics of the team prepare/lead from the front week in week out. If they were both to move on at the end of the season and two new centre backs came in, they wouldn't have seen the example set by those two legends.

Seeing as Miazg/Kenedy aren't in the 25 man squad, does that mean we can't actually use them in our team this season/while they haven't found a loan home yet?
