Hello guys,

Rovers fan in peace. Buzzing for our trip to you on Tuesday night. 4000 tickets sold out in no time last week to priority one fans.

Anyway, just wondering what sort of team you expect to put out? Expect you to rest quite a few but even so, you will have a strong team regardless compaed to what we are used to coming up against!

Also, not sure if you are aware but our new owner Al Qadi, is a massive Chelsea fan and season ticket holder with yourselves. Thouroughly nice bloke too!

Think Conte will do well for you. Got the best out of an Italian side who weren't particularly strong and I can see you seeing out games 1-0 like the Mourinho days.

See you Tuesday!

Hey Mate,

Will most likely be a mixture of our first team and some younger players. We don't have many defenders so expect a near full strength back four.

Expecting something like;

Begovic

Aina Cahill Ivanovic Azpilicueta

Pedro Fabregas Chalobah Moses

Loftus Cheek Batshuayi

Best of luck for Tuesday and the rest of the season.

Begovic

Ivanovic - Miazga - Cahill - Aina

Chalobah

Pedro - Fabregas - Pasalic - Moses

Batshuayi

Michy Hattrick in a 4-0 win

Good luck with your season too.

I am hoping you can tell us more about your clubs line ups and whom to watch out for. I would predict that a lot of the players who started  today will not be starting. My predicted lineup:

Begovich

Aina - Ivanovich © - Miazga - Kenedy

Willian/Cuadrado - Matic - Fabergas - Moses

 RLC - Batshuayi

I dont know how true the Cuadrado, Miazga and Kenedy loan rumors are, But so far they are still here.

I think i may be playing too many youngsters. But I think this is a good test.

I think we need to make a few changes as we need them fit and ready if required to call on during the league.

My team

Begovic

Aina cahill Terry Azbi

Chalobah Kante

pedro fabregas moses

Batman

I'm on the road again this week. Anyone have any idea if this game is due to be televised anywhere? The early league cup games are always the hardest to find streams of.

Not on anywhere according to the site I use to see what obscure channels games are on.

Chelsea TV have 'Live commentary'

The crystal ball was close to predicting the right score against Watford but we could not score that third goal before the end. Anyway, this is the team and prediction against Bristol Rovers:

Chelsea (4-1-4-1): Courtois; Ivanovi?, Cahill, Terry ©, Azpilicueta; Kanté; Pedro, Willian, Mikel, Hazard; Costa

Subs: Blackman, Mati?, Chalobah, Oscar, Cuadrado, Batshuayi, Kenedy

Prediction: Chelsea 0-0 Bristol Rovers (4-5 on penalties)

So, a strong 11 fielded, albeit with Willian in a slightly unorthodox central midfield role, is not enough to progress in the EFL Cup. Yeah, I think, even though it's a cup game, we'd be fairly livid with this result. Let's go for the win here. Come on, Blues!

By the way, the crystal ball seems to think Cuadrado and Kenedy aren't going anywhere...just yet.

Important game for us to win, we have to go as far as we can in that competition.

I'd like to see this starting lineup:

----------------- Begovic ---------------------

Aina ------- Cahill --- Terry --- Azpilicueta

----------- Chalobah --- Fabregas --------------

Moses --------- Loftus-Cheek ----- Hazard

--------------- Batshuayi ------------------------

COME ON CHELS!!!!!!!!

5?

Being picky but wasn't Chalobah born in Sierra Leone? Wiki says he moved here when 7...

Know he's played for England U21s.... But...

Then again I never saw Zola Budd as British...

I can't see him representing the Sierra Leone national team, probably considers himself English.

Well, if a welsh, Irish, Scot, or any other Caucasian moved to England at age 7 and represented England throughout the different youth levels, I don't think his birth place would matter in the least. After all, we had Owen Hargreaves play for England!

John Barnes too or even last night Mo Farah represented GB

I know this is off topic, but i just got done watching the firsthalf of napolis match vsPescara and KOULIBALY IS NOT WORTH 60 MILLION. Now i understand want Conte meant by medium skilled players being sold for crazy prices. if koulibally is 60 M then ivanovic is 35 M.  At this point i am ok with loaning an average player from a good team.same way teams steal our SALAH CHRISTENSEN AND CUADRADO.

Welcome, thanks for posting and hope you enjoy your trip too and from the Bridge.

No idea where the competition will fit in to Conte's list of priorities, the Italian cup is not normally seen as I high priority I believe.

You can't base how good a player is or isn't on one game.

is miazga still with us? if so it's hilarious that conte doesn't even know that he's still here by saying we only have 5 defenders (the starting 4 + aina)
