Thanks guys and girls. Geezer and Plo, I was honored to meet you both as well. It was a great night and it's too bad it didn't last longer. Though I'm sure we would have all ended up in the hospital if it did go on any longer. I encourage everyone to make at least one of these in the future. It meant the world to me, but I can't even imagine how much it would mean to one of you who've been supporting the club since the 60's 70's or 80's. These were your players! So nice to see the 90's boys starting to come around as well. Barring any problems, I will be there next year.

You know...there were some hilarious moments in that flick, but honestly it wasn't what everyone made it out to be. For me at least. I think sometimes it's just "cool" to see a certain movie and be able to recite lines at the water cooler for two weeks in a row. I got that feeling with this one.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have to re watch the match to decide? I was too busy being nervous and pissed off.

Well, I've marked down the destruction of Wolves this season as my first proper Chelsea match, but the first time I saw the boys play in person was a 50 minute drive away from my house at the Galaxy's Home Depot Center. We played the Suwon Blue Wings on my birthday in July and won the match 1-0 I believe. Memories from that match include just being giddy like a child with delight knowing I would be seeing them. This was also the true birthplace of CIA and the PCB not to mention the OCH and the CN's. That's Chelsea in America, Pacific Coast Blues, OC Hooligans and Chelsea Nomads. We love acronyms. A couple days later was the big "Beckham's First Match," circus that saw Sidwell almost saw Becksies legs in half. The notable tune of the match was... "Who is that star wearing shirt 23? F*ck off Dave Beckham it's Cu-di-ci-ni!" But like I said, Wolves at Home this year was my first true match. A 4-0 victory at the Bridge. I was finally home. Too many memories of that whole day to put down here. Every second was soaked up. Ahhhhhh.

After seeing another Pat Nevin clip on Youtube today, it made me think about our interview with the wee Chelsea Ledge. Then it made me think about this thread, that hasn't been updated since 1951. Sorry. :D Wee Pat was our 4th interview and though it's impossible to really choose one as a personal favorite, this one is probably as close as it gets. For most of the interviews, the particular legend would usually start the call not really knowing what to expect, maybe a bit slow out of the gates and by the end of the call they were probably working on a six pack of Stella having a grand old time. Nevin was different. He was our best friend from the start and had so much fun talking about everything from his time on the pitch, to the Paul Canoville situation, to his tastes in music which of course is a huge part of his life. I loved his stories about Everton in particular, and his insight on safe standing and atmosphere in general (my favorite question to ask anyone who will listen) was fun to hear. Our friend Michael (possibly the biggest Wee Pat fan in the world) joined in on the call and was brilliant. Great to hear someone who started following Chelsea just around the time Nevin joined. I watched him play at the Reserve match against Birmingham while I was over. Of course it's harsh to go off of one match but it's doubtful he'd get a shot after that performance. He has energy and is very aggressive. There is no doubt he can go on to play somewhere, but it looked to me that he was too prone to making big mistakes. Who knows though. I'd say he just needs to focus on playing smart football instead of just rushing in all the time.

Oh no worries mate. Believe me, I know he's outspoken and it sometimes puts people off. But that's just him. Trust me, once you get to know the w**ker on the pitch, he's a great guy. Great drinking buddy. Head full of history and stories. Funny sob as well.

So you didn't care that we lost to Blackburn on the day, but now you're going back and slagging the players off for that match? I agree that this run is worrying especially after what we've come to expect out of this squad, but it's a POOR run of form. No more no less. We aren't on point in some parts of our play, AND the ball just isn't bouncing our way. Bottom line is I don't feel the same way I did during Scolari's meltdown. That to me says it isn't panic time.

A big if? They beat us in penalties. If they had beaten us by 2 or 3 goals in normal time, then it would be a big if. Blackburn wasn't the players being complacent. They fought their asses off. They only hype believer I saw that day was Ancelotti as evidenced by his halftime line change. Wrong move and he knew it.

I'm just concerned with the number of players named "Fabio." We've only got one now and I think it should stay that way.

Cheryl Cole has a good pair. Probably the best in England.
