Essex blue got a reaction from Amputechture in Gary Cahill - PL CL FAC LC EL championJust a thought, what a great servant Gary cahill has been actually.
Bought as cover, and thought of as cover for most of his time here.
Solid defender, and always pops up with vital goals. Champions league winner and was injured in the build up to the final. Cult hero, or club legend. Gary cahill I salute you!

Essex blue reacted to andy in Gary Cahill - PL CL FAC LC EL championCahill needs someone decent along side him there is no doubt about that.
Is it coincidence that and incredible defensive duo against all the odds in Munich is now doing it again week in week out ? You listen to most the experts on this forum wouldn't have had Cahill and Luiz in the club !
Gary is a great defender and has a goal in him too which is always a bonus and he is putting a good captains role this season, speaks well on the tele etc. Let's hope they keep JT at the club to keep mentoring him.
Just on a personal note my nephew had a bad head injury a few years back in Australia a few people on this site genriously helped out, I will be forever grateful. Gary also dug deep as well as giving as one of his shirts signed by the first team to auction. He even took the time to follow up with us a few times over the past few years to see how my nephew was doing. You don't hear these things in the media do you ? I am sure there are a lot of professionals out there that do this type of thing but Gary will always be a legend in my family

Essex blue reacted to coco in Diego "the guv'nor" CostaDid Costa take a wage cut last season when he wasn't worth half of what we were paying him ?
-
Essex blue reacted to Zola in Diego "the guv'nor" CostaHe didnt kick a ball boy though..

Essex blue reacted to Andy North in Diego "the guv'nor" CostaIf your talking about the Spanish league they have two possibly three good teams and the depth of quality in their whole league is nowhere near as good as PL. Overall the Spanish League cannot compete with the quantity of games generating good entertaining football in the PL. It is the most watched for a reason.

Essex blue reacted to Barrettinator in Diego "the guv'nor" CostaWell that's that then.

Essex blue reacted to Kinkladze1871 in Diego "the guv'nor" CostaDisgusting amount of money being offered here, And c-unts used to whine about our £30/40k extra per week wages offered, I know it's rich coming from a City fan but the Chinese Super League really is disgusting. We can't do what the MLS has done, No, No, No, We're just going to get our financial c-ocks out and wave them all over the place, Disgusting, Again, I know it's rich coming from me but compare our spending and rise with that filthy money being spent over there, I hope he doesn't go because if Costa goes, Sanchez/Aguero/Suarez could all go and the last thing we want is European football weakened. I hope the Chinese Super League burns and crashes, I'm sorry.

Essex blue reacted to Floyd25 in Diego "the guv'nor" CostaIn the real world, I'd take the best offer, but football isn't a normal job, It's supposed to mean more than money, or at least it used to mean more. If he wants more money, go at the end of the season, not in January when we're top of the league, if it's true then obviously we know what the fans mean to him, nothing. I hope it's media speculation, otherwise this sport is alienating me so much, I'm thinking what is the point anymore?

Essex blue reacted to Scott Harris in Diego "the guv'nor" CostaI'm not entirely convinced i believe everything that is being reported at the minute, everything seems to have blown up AFTER it get's out that he won't be playing tomorrow. Why wasn't all of this being reported a few hours ago before it was announced he wouldn't be playing ?
Anyway, if he does leave then he's a bit of a d**khead. Top of the league by 5 points, arguably the player of the season so far, top goal scorer at the moment. To leave now would be a kick in the teeth and shows a complete lack of respect to the club.

Essex blue reacted to Bovis Messroom in Our New StadiumYes. Reckon the police and safety people will have had their say and had a preference that visiting fans are at the Fulham Road end of the stadium. Can remember when they experimented with giving West Ham the MHL for a cup game. Wow, that didn't go well and seemed a mad decision even before the match. As Essex blue above says, the away fans will be over three tiers in a narrower strip so even with a full 3,000 allocation they will only have about a quarter of the stand instead of half the present Shed. I guess for clubs who have smaller followings, they'll only get a corner of the lower tier. Hopefully the club will work with the fans to get like minded singing supporters grouped together at both Wembley (if that's where we decamp to) and a new Stamford Bridge. They have mentioned atmosphere in the planning documents with regard to the stadium design so are well aware of its importance.

Essex blue reacted to Chelsbear in Our New StadiumSadly the ground is far too small for where we are as a club. We have to expand to keep up with football

Essex blue reacted to Boyne in Our New StadiumJust found this on the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) Council website. It is date 19 December. Even though the planning application was submitted to London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham (LBHF) Council LBHF passed on copies to RBKC for comment etc. I'm not surprised given that the ground is on the border of the two councils.
The information submitted fails to demonstrate that the development would not have an unacceptable impact on the operation of Earl's Court underground station. This is contrary to policies 6.1(j) and 6.3 of The London Plan 2015 and Consolidated Local Plan policy CT1
In the absence of a suitable S106 obligation to secure an appropriate payment for a review of on-street parking controls, and further payment for implementation of any necessary changes to on-street parking controls in theRoyal Borough, the development does not mitigate the impact of the proposals on on-street parking pressure within the Royal Borough. This is contrary to policy 6.13 of The London Plan 2015 and Consolidated Local Plan policy CT1
The information submitted with the application fails to demonstrate the demolition and construction phases of the development would not have an adverse impact on this Borough's highways. The information submitted fails to adequately consider the cumulative impact on the junction of Fulham Road and Finsborough Road (A3220) which is relied upon by all site traffic. This is contrary to policy 6.3 of The London Plan 2015 and Consolidated Local Plan policy CT1
The development fails to provide a sufficient number of cycle parking spaces which is likely to lead to an increase in informal cycle parking within the Borough's streets resulting in unwelcome street clutter. This is contrary to policy 6.9 of The London Plan 2015 and consolidated local plan policy CT1
The proposed development by reason of the proximity of the raised walkway to the Stamford Cottage properties would cause a significant increase in the sense of enclosure and have an unacceptable and harmful impact on the living conditions of occupiers of those properties. This is contrary to policy 7.6 (d) of the London Plan 2015 and consolidated local plan policy CL5
The proposed development by reason of its scale and visibility from The Billings Conservation Area and Brompton Cemetery Conservation Area would be harmful to the setting and views from these designated heritage assets failing to preserve or enhance their character, appearance or settings. This is contrary to policy 7.8 of The London Plan 2015 and consolidated local plan policy CL3.

Essex blue reacted to Richard P in Michy Batshuayi to ChelseaConte sees Michy, most days double sessions. He knows the player, the person and must have his reasons for not starting him. Maybe it's a confidence thing but we don't know, but I'm not going to judge Antonio on his management style when we're top of the league. People don't judge when it's a player they don't particularly like e.g. Branna, Mikel, Oscar
