I remember it well. It was a brilliant post. One thing he did write was that the players would get frustrated at Mourinho always taking the limelight. What he didn't know was that his PR team would come up with the "taking the pressure off the players" line.

I chose that example carefully. True, but by reading the media you will form the wrong perception. I think it is you who has chosen a bad example. These words prove my point which is not that Keane isn't a thug (he patently is) but that he isn't "mental" or consumed by a "red mist". He knew exactly what he was doing in the way that countless footballers have, some wearing blue, through the ages. It has amused me greatly that there is widespread surprise at his success as a manager and at his general calm demeanor. Any observer of his career would have easily predicted exactly that. He's petty, vindictive, vicious and unpleasant but he's intelligent, articulate and very much in control.

I'll miss Don Youlots. I like the way he uses words more for their size than their meaning.

I liked Ranieri but unfortunately when the pressure came on he panicked. I imagine he might well do the same again if in the same situation. Grant has impressed with how he has handled the big occasions recently. He certainly doesn't bottle it which makes me think we would have a better chance of winning something under him.

This would be how I see Drogba too. He usually produces a level of performance that at the very least justifies his place in the side. I'll be happy to see him go because with him in the team it is too easy for us to play our low-risk, percentages type of football. Having said that I hope he never plays against us because, on his day, he can destroy a team on his own. On another note it is interesting to see posters' dislike being of him attributed to the media. Bit like Roy Mental, eh Just?
