ElTerrible got a reaction from Valerie in Should Graham Potter be sacked? (2nd poll)New rule. Every time....
anybody says we are missing Lukaku before mentioning Werner ---> Potter´s contract gets extend a month, two months if you are not related to Lukaku or Belgian.

ElTerrible reacted to Zeta in Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea ManagerA lot of the decisions they made before waiting for the new sporting director(s) to come in, are questionable.
Signing some duds, sacking Tuchel, hiring Potter.
Why couldn't they have waited until they had more knowledgeable people in place before making this sort of decision?

ElTerrible reacted to Drogba1 in Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea ManagerDifference is Arteta had just started management, Potter has been managing for 10+ years and he's still sh*te. Not to mention Arsenal were barely even a Europa League team when Arteta took over, wheras we were a Champions League team when Potter joined.

ElTerrible got a reaction from Victor90 in Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea ManagerThe Potterista will use the same argument like the Pochettitties at PSG. Tuchel dug him such a big hole it was just too much to overcome. Five points behind first, three points behind the CL places already AND only six points from relegation. At the end of the year Potter had the team seven points clear of relegation, so he improved on Tuchel´s performance.

ElTerrible got a reaction from RomansRoubles in Chelsea v Southampton (PL) Sat 18th Feb 2023 15:00 GMTLuckily Tuchel secured us a little cushion early in our battle against relegation. Does Boehly know about relegation?

ElTerrible got a reaction from meta4man in Pierre Emerick Aubameyang at Chelsea *Official*...but most of you wanted to get rid of Werner. Bascially the downfall of this whole operation was the lack of a strong director of football, that would have backed Timo Werner after they won the Champions League. First the stupid Lukaku purchase and then to double down, they gave him away for an Aubameyang replacement.
Timo Werner was the engine of the offense. He initiated the pressing similar to Firmino in Liverpool. He allowed Mount and Havertz to shine. Maybe not at the level of Salah/Mane yet, but they are young. For all his poor finishing, Werner also had a ton of assists. He ran so much, the others would have felt ashamed, if they didn´t at least try to keep up. Now they are trying to keep up with Aubameyang´s workrate and doing a splendid job.
How dense do you have to be to f*** with a Champions League winning unit. Wasted money on Lukaku that could have been used to retain Christensen and Rudiger.
Completely nuts.

ElTerrible got a reaction from RomansRoubles in Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea ManagerI told you all Tuchel is a brilliant coach, but an awful sporting director. So what does Boehly do? Make him the sporting director in the summer, then fire has as the coach.
What he should have done is learn the basics of football, hire a sporting director and preach patience to himself and Tuchel: Listen. We love you. Great job, but we can´t rush into any transfers without somebody in charge of the club. Work with what you got. We bring in Gallagher and Broja for depth. We identify our new sporting director and we have a two months break in the winter to make the necessary moves.
The biggest mistake though that nobody talks about was letting Timo Werner go. He made Havertz and Mount click. Guy was tearing apart opposing defenses with his disruptive runs and setting up the other attacking players. But that goes back to Tuchel quickly realizing that Werner/Havertz/Mount is his best available set-up, but not realizing that adding Lukaku as a potential replacement or selling Werner for Aubameyang would make the team much worse. To be fair many fans didn´t either. Who might have? A POWERFUL SPORTING DIRECTOR.
