See how good we performed once Garnacho went off. Hope you give him the same criticism you give Neto after this.

Delap didn't miss it. The defender got there first and headed it against the bar.
-
The hole Gallagher would fill with distinction.

These owners have absolutely decimated this club. Absolutely despise them.

sparrow6 reacted to Dr. Socrates in Chelsea v Manchester City, (pre-season), Sat 3rd Aug 24, 2245 GMTI didn’t expect miracles in preseason. But I thought we’d at least look like a half decent side and could see a way forward and some kind of cohesion.
But we’ve been appalling. Defence looks like a shambles and we’re still only an injury away from Broja being our main striker again.
If Wrexham and City’s C team could dismantle us with ease, I dread to think what any midtable Premier side would do to us. We can forget about competing with the likes of Arsenal, Man City or Liverpool. We’re miles behind them. I was shocked by how poor we were all over the pitch. I think we’re in serious trouble.

Really hope I’m wrong, but everything I’m seeing scares me.
a stubborn manager implementing a rigid system is fine in a vacuum but when said system will negate or severely limit the best abilities of our top creative/goal generating players (gusto, Reece, Palmer, chilly, etc) Deciding to limit the production of your best players to 75-80% of their potential seems like a “smartest guy in the room” type thinking and doesn’t show me a manager who can look in the mirror and see that his tactics got found out last year, he just had a level better talent compared to competition so got away with it.
If he thinks his tactics are so good that he can implement them within a little over a month of training and preseason, with half his players on vacation as well as effectively a u23 squad, then I have no confidence. Seems his tactics work when you have the talent advantage in a matchup like city does in prem or like Leicester did in champ last year.
I just can’t see us being anything but chasing top 4 from tenth or eleventh position around November, again.
this is all without even mentioning how dreadfully boring the football is gonna be. Thank god I can record and then watch at 2 or 4x speed.

I think if we paint this season as the 3rd write off in 3 seasons then this fanbase genuinely has every right to protest these owners out. No way will this club survive financially given they are doubling down on this insanely risky strategy that doesn’t show any signs it’ll ever work.

Cucurella wasn't bad today.

This club is broken and scary thing is I’m not even surprised by the result.
I’m actually frightened of how low we can go. I was hoping last season was rock bottom as we were adjusting to a new ownership and turnover of the squad.
The fabric of the club has been ripped apart ever since Roman was forced to sell the club.

There is 1 consistent theme throughout this disastrous period in our recent history. Todd Boehly New manager new players all wrong decisions and Boehly is at the heart of every one.Thats where all the anger should be focused
-
Wasn’t it effectively a Brighton 2nd team that mauled Man Utd yesterday? Sure Mitoma & Estupian played.
It’s the slow transition that is killing us. Ange hasn’t done anything dramatic to transform Spurs, it’s just get it up the pitch as quickly as possible. With us we keep passing it around aimlessly. You bet we are top of the possession stats.

What an absolutely dreadful game of football this has been.
Genuinely cannot understand how we have spent so much money on players and this is it, regardless of injuries.
-
Aye is indeed, 3 different managers, maybe 4 if you included the end of TT reign, all the same cr@p yet with different players.
Only constant I am seeing is the owners. At the very least they have awful decision making when it comes to picking a manager, or directors of football, or both.

sparrow6 reacted to Blue72 in Chelsea v Forest (PL) Sat 2nd Sep 2023 15:00 GMTIt will take time my arse!! This team is going no place except the bottom 5. Pochettino is all talk but same as Potter plays cowardly football he was found out at PSG There is no Harry Kane or Mbappe to bail him out at the bridge. Biggest problem for us is the total waste of money spent on at best mid table players other teams are laughing at the prices we have paid.

sparrow6 reacted to big blue in Chelsea v Forest (PL) Sat 2nd Sep 2023 15:00 GMTProbably the most embarrassing project in world football.
£1b spent to completely change an entire squad, a squad which had won the champions league and finished 3rd within the last 12 months, and they have bought a load of kids that maybe can get us challenging again in about 5 years.
If you complain then your ungrateful.
Anyway we are stuck with this now, so bearing in mind this is a youth team, with 5 or 6 seniors, then I think expectations need to be seriously lowered.
Team was wrong, as it has been for 3 games, awful start for Pochettino. Not really sure how he wants us to play.
So much to be pissed off about with chelsea at the moment.
With the squad we have, I'm expecting a rough couple of years while these players grow. Hopefully not too much damage is done in the meantime.

My concern is that we are losing games which, at the worst, we should be getting a draw from. This young team can easily lose any self-believe they might have had and go on spiralling losses to anyone same as last season...my worry that we might be at relegation battle this year...

sparrow6 reacted to Remodez in Chelsea v Forest (PL) Sat 2nd Sep 2023 15:00 GMTGetting really tired of watching us pass the ball to Sterling and pray he does something with it.
The lack of creativity from this team is stunning.

It's hardly a surprise this was coming. Those who were worried and called "whiners" because of it had and has a major point. There are a whole host of reasons why one should be worried about not only this season but also the long-term future. And not just as a top club competing for trophies, I think they have done a lot to sink those chances for the foreseeable future but financial trouble will one day rear it's ugly head the way we are operating.
-
Never, in the field of battle, has so much been spent, by so few, on so many, to achieve so little.

sparrow6 reacted to RMH in West Ham v Chelsea (PL) Sun 20th Aug 2023 16:30 GMTOn my way back home. f**king hell, that was painful to watch. What on earth did we play? Shocking, like being back to last season.
-
Went to the game and can't believe we sp***ed all that money on over rated players and we look no different than last year. I know its early days but we look so light weight. We are never going to win any physical battles on that pitch as everyone looks like they are built like tammy Abraham. I just hope we can turn it round against Luton because unless we get three points it's going to be a long season. I did say 10th before we bought in all these players . I suppose we must be patient I'm just really dissapointed that we couldn't even get a point against 10 men

Same sh*t, different day. Just embarrassing.
