Great team performance against a very good side. Ramires had a great game was a thorn in toures side the whole game and still had time to contribute going forward also. Torres has to be starting most games now no doubt. Mikel assured when came on never gave the ball away and always available to receive the ball must replace Lampard in bigger games. Hazard very quiet again and to a lesser extent in an attacking sense at least was Oscar. One thing I'm glad I don't do is follow the match thread on here during the game, some of the comments are cringe worthy lol.

a much more accurate record of the game. they did indeed get the better of the first half but we were much better second half and if i remember correctly they couldn't handle Rami. good atmosphere at the bridge that night though was disappointed with City who only brought 1500 or so fans even though they were top and unbeaten so far in the league that season. one step beyond!

Imagine how good he would be with a world class holding midfielder alongside him. As much as I love Frank and what he has done for us, the combo of frank and rami doesn't work. At times yesterday we struggled in the middle of the park and that was against Cardiff, I fear for us if we play this combo against City. Frank should be used as a replacement now for when Rami needs a break and Essien or Mikel should play the disciplined holding role until hopefully we buy a player or Nathan is ready. rami's contribution to Oscars goal has gone unnoticed in the media, nicking the ball high up the pitch is what he does so well, allowing us to break on teams before they get a chance to re organise against us.

Oscar without doubt. Never created a chance apparently but a pure team player. I'm sure we can analyse plenty of Mata's games last year where he never created a chance but contributed considerably from no 10 last year but not only if we watch highlights.
