I actually dont think the Chelsea-Rangers affiliation would be nearly what it is if Rangers werent blue. I also like Rangers and support them in their own league and cups. Their fans are very good and pretty much walk all over Celtic from what I've seen.

We should make the game a statement of intent more than anything. Play some mind blowing football with Drogba and and Anelka having an unbeleavable partnership while both new signings Sturridge and Zhirkov score a cracking goal. We have got to win it this season. We are the only top side who hasnt lost key players, instead we have added vital players. Man City's players will need to time to gel so that will go against them. The only disadvantage we have is a new manager and new system to adjust to. Has to be our year this year.

Roberts, McCarthy and Rigters and Blackburn dont seem to rate Rigters very highly so it looks good for Franco. I really like Di Santo, I think he can cut it. It is looking almost certain that Carlo is going to be playing a diamond midfield next season with 2 strikers. Presumably Drog and Anelka. In the past couple of season when we have (rarely) played with 2 strikers, they have looked brilliant together. One twos, making space for eachother, Anelka running of Drogbas headers e.t.c Anyone else agree with me that this is going to be the season the pair really hit it off? It would have to be a winger whoever it is unless we change our formation. Creative strikers dont generally work as lone strikers, they need a partner else no-one benefits from their creativity. They also need the ability to hold the ball up which alot of creative strikers dont have.

I think we are lucky with the fact that we have so many experienced players on the field we wouldnt ever lack any leadership. Drogba, Essien and Ballack (Carvalho?) are all captains for their countries. I heard somewhere that we are unbeaten whenever Lampard has been captain?
