  1. clearly!
  2. The club is and will always be bigger than any one player
  3. fair enough but if the roles were reversed we'd do the same...actually i would like to think that we would but we've got form on overpaying haven't we?
  4. Got a lot of bunny as I recall but besides that not for me.
  5. I wonder if Postacoglou is really wanted by Spurs. Winning the treble (congratulations by the way) anywhere is a great achievement, and I could see that being enough for Tottenham to offer him the gig. Hes come a long way from his South Melbourne days.
  6. No Problem with him being ex spurs. There were other PL managers who really seemed to dislike every core of our being Wenger, Warnock, Martinez , Rafa ! he didnt strike me as one of them. Just as an aside, old Ange up the road's not too keen on us either. He's a huge Liverpool fan and I remember once on Aus TV when he was playing pundit back when we were very good he was disparaging of us during a champions league tie.
  7. I just hope we dont trade him in as I worry that we wont be able to get rid of enough of our deadwood, due to their high wages.
  8. Lukaku yes but Sterling creating trouble for the club, I disagree with
  9. not afraid to disagree with that one but each to their own.
  10. would be highly delighted if the 'peoples club' went down. (They've been pretty lucky on a few occasions). Them and Leeds. According to the morality police you've only got history if you won trophies back in the olden days, but what did Leeds win back then? a few trophies in the 60's and 70's (finished second more often than not) and a league title in the 90's but when they got promoted so many people including the morality police said they've got a great History. Still waiting for them to take the PL by storm. The list of clubs' supporters bitter about our latter-day success is pretty large I think.
  11. oh yeah. apparently the mob at that end was infiltrated by chelsea fans! always the victim.
  12. Silly wouldn’t be my choice of word if that happened. Like the rest of us extremely relieved that we’re not going down, and all those opposition fans who were praying for it to happen can go f#ck themselves. I saw on AFTV who they thought would be a threat next season and we weren’t in the equation. If we don’t win the league in the next few years so be it .The things we’ve done these last 20 years compared to nearly going down to division 3 when I started going to games? I just want to see us truly competitive again.
  13. By His own words he's condemned himself. I wonder if he'd have Mourinho back? he coached at Tottenham and Man Utd. "proper Chels" indeed!
  14. for me its 1. avoid relegation 2. get the new coach in Whoever that is, 3. Have Lampard moved on sharpish. not even a coaching position. A reboot at a lower league is the order of the day in my opinion. 4. Get rid of the deadwood
  15. mate we looked better under Potter and that's saying something. One thing though if the players aren't fit enough who's that down to?
  16. Omitting Azpi from the list? one of the first out the door for me..respectfully of course.
  17. the best place for frank is back in the studio next to Rio. should never have been given the job. I dont blame him for accepting the role twice though.
  18. Thank you! Dennis wise Steve Clarke John Terry etc, all proper Chels all put forward over the years to bring back the passion. Dave will be next. No better than people suggesting bang average players should be bought because they grew up a Chelsea supporter imo.
  19. Lampard could win the majority of our remaining games and I’d still not want him. He’s had his time as our coach. He also phased out Tomori and rudiger as well by the way.
  20. I agree, since the Achilles setback he's not as quick as he used to be and he doesn't have that John Robertson 'wiliness' about him to beat his man either
  21. probably still recovering from his broken leg. Hateley who knows
  22. and yet theres still people wanting him at our club NFW!
  23. he had to bring them on though. made my day, the amount of fans coming out of the woodwork mouthing off especially the ones who talk about the invincibles but aren't old enough to remember them. They'll probably win it but next season will be tougher for them as all their rivals will strengthen.
  24. Im a bit concerned that physically we'll get bullied in midfield. Dyche has got them believing again the peoples club and all that. I think we might struggle, but obviously hope not
