good that you mentioned someone from a team like hull, who are supposed to defend a lot more than chelsea, therefore skewing the stats in his favour.
 
if you want to disregard players playing in a different formation/team/system, then just compare mikel to the rest of chelsea players. hes worse, both in defence and in attack, than every single one of our CMs
 
obviously i have to resort to stats, because we have polarizing opinions that are, of course, subjective. not to mention you were the one who brought up stats first

so this guy only plays when we are defending a lead, and hes not even defending.

Mikel barely played last season once Matic joined, and even a defender was preferred to place in Mikel's position ahead of him, I don't consider the Mikel debate one worth continuing when Jose has clearly considered him inadequate for the job.

He's averaged 50 appearances per season over the last 3 years. Not really sure where your argument is coming from.
Veron struggled with the pace of the premier league, which accounted for his poor form, more than a serious decline. After he left he looked very good again and was a regular for Argentina.
Fabregas won't struggle with the premier league as he has had 8 years experience. I think he is a better player now, than he was at Arsenal. Certainly more end product, and there's no shame in struggled to keep xavi or iniesta out the team.

Can people not have an opinion on Mikel without being accused of lack of respect ? You know what, i think he's pretty rubbish too, that isn't me being disrespectful, i just don't think he is a good footballer. A good person who get's on with his work without any fuss and that's great, but i don't think he is a very good player.
 
People always talk about how much Mikel has won at Chelsea when they try and point out how good he is, well Park Ji Sung must have been a World Class player for United then because he won a lot of trophies too.
 
I hate all this scapegoat crap that get's thrown around as well. Nobody singles out Chelsea players when we have been poor just because they are looking for someone to blame, they just point out how poor they have been. I seen people get accused of treating Mikel, Ramires, David Luiz and Torres like a scapegoat at times but it's not that at all, they just don't perform well enough for us so people point it out.
 
I guarantee if Mikel was playing for another club nobody on here would be saying he is a good player or begging us to sign hm.
