  1. Its funny how the press spins out all these stories only for the truthful sober reports to arrive days later
  2. Oh well f**k this already...
  3. This is the first I've heard of 8 weeks, whats the standard length of time out on a "thigh injury"?
  4. I think some of the rules were in fact mixed up, multi-ball occurs when you kick it in the basket at midfield. If the extra balls go off the pitch they are considered out of play until there is only one left on the pitch which becomes the game ball again.
  5. The plight of the Liverpuddians almost isn't funny anymore. Almost...
  6. Ya at first when I saw the Terry I was laughing at everyone because it wasn't a very clear penalty, on the replay's though you could obviously see the shirt pull but it was outside of the linesman's vision, missed call. Same goes for Rooney, ya it looked pretty onside to me, but it was again a missed call. Evan's flying kick probably should have been a penalty but given his history as we are all aware and his theatrics I think the ref chose not to, hell it could have been a make up call really. That being said how many penalties are missed in any given week, we could assembly an extremely long list of missed calls but at the end of the day here Chelsea wound up with the victory. Really the plus/minus on the missed calls was 1 to Man Yoo and I would say the calibre of officiating was pretty abysmal all over the field, as one sided as it may have seemed to the lads in red. I think the problem of the day was that Man United had finally done a good job of defending the centre of their field and really looked at this as a moral victory. Aside from the Rooney offside and the Giggs punt into the stand however they really didn't manufacture any sure chances and most of the shots were outside of the 18 yard box. All in all I would call this a moral victory of sorts for the Mancs, but it was just the same for Chelsea if not more so, there's still another grudge match to be played in April away where I'm sure we'll have a better atmosphere and better officiating ;)
  7. The funny thing is that when you watch the highlights you can hear the crowd singing almost the entire time. Of course we don't have the loudest stand in the league and as many on here have point out this fact before and attempts to increase the atmosphere in the ground. That being said I'm always pretty astounded at how quiet 76,212 sound at a certain ground themselves.
  8. Ya read this earlier, not good news at all especially with Bosingwa out. Hopefully Zhirkov can step in and step up
  9. SKY gets it right http://www.sportresult.com/federations/ISU...=11210200000004
  10. And the Mancs complain about poor refs
  11. So if they are singing IRA songs what happens if everyone else responds with "The Famine Song", everyone singing the famine song gets in trouble while the IRA singers get nothing for disrupting Remembrance Day ceremonies. Is any one action really less bigoted then the other? There should be an equal punishment for both actions...
  12. Erm, does anybody have a link or a download of the MOTD?
  13. It really is great to see all the Man United players and fans whining about the loss and the refereeing decisions, considering all the luck they've had with the refs in their past matches and who are truly the only reason why they are where they are in the table.
  14. I don't think the main point here is that we won an ugly match, regardless of how ugly it is. An ugly win is still a win but a an ugly loss is just twice as ugly. Unfortunately this is how trophies are won and I'm quite content with the fact that those whining Manure lads n lassies were sent packing, also I won a bet with my boss at the pub today so I took home £5 for my troubles
  15. LOL Me and my mate were having a good laugh at "Toothbrush-Man"! all match
  16. Apparently, with the discussion of a possible surgery putting him out a further 3-4 weeks if he undergoes it.
  17. Unfortunately it's how everything works here in North America too, although I had hoped that a country with as much history as England wouldn't follow our lead in this department. Oh well...
  18. So if you were loving Monday morning how will Thursday morning go?
  19. I still want to see a replay of that last free kick because that was ridiculous, the c**ts charged in before the kick was even taken
  20. All in all I can't say I'm too disappointed. We didn't play well but still came away with some points and advance further in the Champions League, that's a good day of work if you ask me. The one thing that does concern me is our play away from home this year, I'm not worried coming up against Manure but we do have some matches (consecutive I believe) against Citeh and the Arse later in November and December, hopefully we gain some confidence in those away matches before then...
  21. Hopefully we're not look past tomorrow for Sunday, it would be nice to wrap this CL group up now.
  22. Statistical analysis can be so convoluted that it rarely explains things like they truly are as is obvious here
