Posted November 8, 200915 yr Just watched MOTD this evening, after watching the game on stream with BBC Radio 5Live commentary, and I'm totally disgusted. The 5Live commentary was typical, just what you'd expect from that prize w*nker Alan Green with his brain-dead sidekick David Pleat, but... MOTD: - Their main bones of contention were that Valencia should have been awarded a penalty after JT challenged him - utter bollocks of course. And then, that our goal should never have been allowed because it wasn't a free-kick in the first place and that Drogs was in an offside position. They may well be right on this one, but f*ck 'em. They never even showed Jonathan Evans' second challenge which should have seen him sent off for the second time of the game. They never showed Valencia's reckless challenge on Lamps, which should also have resulted in a red card. They did show Evans' studs into the chest challenge on Drogba - MOTD reaction? They laughed!!! Not for one minute did they question whether we should have had a free kick or even a penalty, nor did they question the fact that Evans got off Scot free for this assault, they just sniggered when Drogs was shown a yellow for 'diving' or 'simulating injury'. Injury that resulted in him having to come off a few minutes later. Then of course came the match summary. All they showed was Manure chances and moves, while they were clearly having a discreet w*nk over Rooney's contribution. I'm really f*ckin' angry over this, MOTD is supposed to be impartial, but hasn't been for many years now. That Brummie w*nker who hosts the Sunday edition is about as knowledgable about football as a brain damaged polecat, and his co-hosts Alan Hansen and Lee 'c*nt' Dixon were nearly as bad. C*nts, the lot of 'em!!!
November 8, 200915 yr Pathetic wasn't it. Evans challenge on Drogba was treated as a trifling matter and not showing his fould on Carvalho was ridiculous.
November 8, 200915 yr they are all c**ts without exeption and they'll continue to do and get away with it. but did you wait to see the "to good to bad" bit it showed Wilkins talking to the 4th official when Drogba was booked, youl could clearly see him say something along the lines of "thank you but thats complete Bollox" gave me a good giggle
November 9, 200915 yr Alan Green is a tubby joke, and hopefully it wont be too long before he says something racist again and gets canned. I was happy about the result, but the reaction is really starting to piss me right off. Not just the willful ignorance of the incidents that went on in the game, not just the omission of the fact that Man United acted like uniformed f**king thugs for the final 45 minutes at every opportunity, but the fact that they now apparently "were the better side" according to just about every recap I have read. Thats interesting, as having watched 90% of the match, I would say that no team had a distinct advantage over the whole game, and there was in no way a definitive "better side", and if anyone shaded that honor it would be us. Add this with some of their fans crying like toddlers about how they were robbed. And then consoling their tears with the standard refrains of "oh well, theyre a plastic club". The calls went against you, tough sh*t, take it like a man and move on. Not talking about this guy here Nani, as he seems to be pretty nice. Ive got a "f**k em all" on behalf of Lofty.
November 9, 200915 yr Hopefully, Lofty joined RedCafe, and is giving all of the Mancs sh*t right now (at least I hope so).
November 9, 200915 yr Great post Steve, agree with every point. I too couldn't believe they laughed at Evans' studs in Drogba's chest like it was a f**king joke. Complete f**ktards the lot of them. Did we get any praise? Both Ivan & Anelka deserved to be singled out for some good play but I don't think they were mentioned once. I shouldn't care, but we deserved more than that pathetic showing from Charles & co. Dixon you're a prized c**t, Hanson... well.., you're usually all right so you're let off this time. We got the 3 points so everyone else can piss off.
November 9, 200915 yr not surprised I came on here to find a post about this, thought it was a tad bias myself...although, please don't shoot me, I thought we were pretty average today in a poor match and united had the better of it...not that i gave two hoots when terry/anelka scored...and it means diddly squat anyway...we're five points clear...that's the biggest satisfaction we should all take from it... mind you...utd's awful discipline (not just evans's GBH) should have been highlighted...dissent, nasty fouls galore...they really do act like scum
November 9, 200915 yr That Evans tackle was absolutely shocking, can yellow cards get overtturned? surely Evans will get cited for that it was worse in my opinion than adebayors stamp on RVP, could have easily broken a rib or two

And now its been taken to the extreme of "we were robbed". Robbed of what exactly, a point? What did they create? I remember a few heart-in-my-mouth moments when they had the ball coming forward, but outside of the occasional close shot from Rooney I dont recall a moment when they were close to scoring. Im curious to see what Eurosport's bloggers come out with tomorrow, as they are often a pretty even handed source of opinions, but as you say all that matters is the points and we know where they went
November 9, 200915 yr i was gonna post exactly the same thing, it was utterly ridiculous. and them giggling and Drogba getting booted in the ribs was an absolute disgrace. my wife even asked me who had won, she thought the mancs had because thats all they talked about. f**king joke programme on a f**king joke station.
November 9, 200915 yr "oh well, theyre a plastic club" At least the Chelsea crest still says "football club".
November 9, 200915 yr have to say, after watching MOTD and generally seeing some of the coverage on the game, I think im going to stop reading anything more about the game that's not on this site, as the bias has been astonishingly pathetic, Like a few others, i thought we weren't very good, but we stayed resiliant and scored a perfectly legitimate goal. For all United's bluster, Cech only made two real saves and was never really troubled. The idea that the Ref was bent is laughable when you consider the challenges they got away with, and the decision to ignore their constant abuse of the Ref was pathetic when you know how villified we would have been had we done the same. We are top of the league, say we are top of the league.
November 9, 200915 yr Fletcher and Anderson got away with at least 15 fouls between themselves without getting a single booking. Of course that will never get mentioned.
November 9, 200915 yr Erm, does anybody have a link or a download of the MOTD? November 9, 200915 yr Agree that most of the coverage has been red eyed to the extreme, there have been some more balanced reports. The Times The Times - again A third Times Article Amazingly, Matt Lawton in the Mail A great piece by Martin Samuel on JT Sam Wallace in the Independent That should get you going. The JT one is particularly good. I'll add any more I find.
November 9, 200915 yr They even had the cheek to do a bit on Fletcher which started by Lee Dixon saying 'If you disregard his tackeling today............'' Then they did a bit on how he knocks it about well etc. The trouble is Mr Dixon is that if you don't disregard his tackeling - he wouldn't have been on the pitch!! These media outlets don't want 1 club running away with the title before Xmas - so will try to make it sound as evenly balanced as they can, sometimes bias is the only way to do it.

Oh and lets not forget the snippets of that prick brushing his teeth behind the dug-out! Who takes a toothbrush to a football match - what a c*nt!
November 9, 200915 yr The toothbrush guy was a bizarre and ridiculous moment. I hope he isnt going to be a regular in that seat Agree that most of the coverage has been red eyed to the extreme, there have been some more balanced reports. The Times The Times - again A third Times Article Amazingly, Matt Lawton in the Mail A great piece by Martin Samuel on JT Sam Wallace in the Independent That should get you going. The JT one is particularly good. I'll add any more I find. Cheers for those, ES. I will also add eurosport's Early Doors blog which takes a pretty funny spin on things. Although they come out with this "better side for 75 minutes" bs they actually calls Wes Brown to task for not staying on this feet: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/ear...article/209630/
November 10, 200915 yr Can someone tell me how Drogba is more off putting to VDS than any of the united players? Does red make you see-through?! Also if Drogba stood in an on-side positon and put on a firework display to upset VDS would that be OK? What a stupid regulation 'interfering with play' is. Sure if you dummy the ball into the net from an offside position then that should be a freekick, but things like Drogba's attempted poke at the ball (later than any of Valuev's jabs the other night) are completely irrelevent. And I'm not just saying that because it favours us this time. There is a decent shout for a foul on Wes Brown though but hey, who gives a sh*t!! It's not surprising that as soon as United went behind they lost all discipline, it happens every game and the usual suspects get a desultory booking or get away scott free.
November 10, 200915 yr It's not surprising that as soon as United went behind they lost all discipline, it happens every game and the usual suspects get a desultory booking or get away scott free. fulham v. man utd at Craven Cottage comes to mind.
November 10, 200915 yr If you thought Fergie and his merry band of arse-licking journos were a tad upset on Sunday, wait till we turn 'em over at OT!
November 10, 200915 yr Did not see all the match what i did see of it i thought man utd stared better not much to choose between the two but at the end of the day WE WON don't matter what they all think we are five points clear and there's nothing MOTD can do about that or any one else so calm down we still top?
