I went for Sturridge, because i think he was the "cause" of every turning point of the match. Chelsea equalising - assist. Clichy sending off - first yellow card. Second goal - "created" the penalty. He was not very active, but when he had the ball, he used it extremely well.

Drogba fought as hard as possible. And he did that for AVB and for the club, i'm sure. No one can say that the players are not behind AVB, because in that case Didi wouldn't have fought. I loved this tonight. Great night.

Agreed on that. Ramires is our best midfielder at the moment, so we have only one spot now for Lamps, Meireles and Josh. And it is understandable, that Josh gets nearly no games, even though it is hard to accept.

It is really interesting/annoying that Sturridge gets votes... He just missed loads of chances and if Newcastle found the net before our second, his finishing would have cost us (at least) two points. He was really good until he fired on goal. If he improves his finishing, than we can talk about being MOTM. But not now.

Because he was rather good. For example under Scolari, he was our best player. He is just not given credit for his performances. But that happens to defensive minded players.

Mikel was supposed to be an attacking midfielder when we signed him years ago. José turned him into a holding player, which he was doing i think pretty well (i like him, yes). Once i read an interview with a Nigerian coach who was angry, because Chelsea ruined the next best player of African football with turning Mikel into a DM. But making him now an attachking player seems a bad idea to me, because when you see him play, it is clear, that we doesn't really have pace and trickery for that. He has some vision, but that's not enough. His greatest strength in my eye is his strength, not many players can take the ball away for Mikel in a psyhical battle. Anyway, Mikel will never be a top class attacking midfielder, that's sure.

This could still be a 4-3-3 with Drogba on the right flank. Would be weird, but not inimaginable... Or i could even imagine a really fluid fomration with the front 3 of Malouda, Drogba and Torres keep changing positions.

I'm a bit pessimistic about De Bruyne, i'm not sure about his quality. Also, i would love to see a right footed winger, too, but we didn't have any rumors about someone like that, so there is no point in dreaming. :)
