Well if you're going to include Moses as a striker, someone who has never played as a lone striker and relied on his partner Di Santo, then Spurs can included Sigurdsson as a striker too seeing as he's played there as a lone striker for Swansea. In which case, I can see their point.

This is what annoyed me the most, not the fact that we lost. It was clear to me that he just stuck out the regular starting XI and went "Do your thing" without even taking into consideration Madrid's style and tactics. It's not like that was the first time Madrid have played that way either so thats no excuse, it's how they play in the league albeit with not so much in your face urgency but the same regardless.

Don't see why people are that bothered, he wouldn't have played unless we got unlucky with injuries and it means that Romeu is that much closer to getting more game time. It's now just Mikel and Romeu trying to get one spot, over the course of the season Romeu should get a heck of a lot of games. Hopefully anyway, don't think RDM has much of a choice so he has to use him even if he doesn't seem to want to. And if someone wanted to buy him they would have done so by now, they had since the start of the window to do so. It's not like we've only just made it clear that he can leave the club. That said I think he will do well for Madrid if he stays fit, better than he would ever do for us if he did stay. They won't rely on his strength and pace as much as we did and seem to still do and even injured he's still a heck of a lot better than Lass.

Actually don't think the midfield is a problem at all, we have the players to play the nice passing style that everyone wants but it's just RDM selections/tactics/preferences that make things harder than they need to be. What he says and what he does in terms of team selections are two different things at times. -> "Looking to play nice passing and attacking football" -> brb Oscar, Romeu and Sturridge on the bench. -> brb Ramires right wing. -> brb same starting XI that he always picks without thought to the opposition's style of play And no, I'm not saying RDM out or anything silly like that.

Reckon Jose is doing us a favour here to be honest. He will get more games over there than he would here, may even start to get glimpses of the player he was under Jose. If he does well and they end up buying him then we really haven't lost much, he would have been sold regardless.

Best team is a bit subjective isn't it? And it's clear what I meant, when playing these teams we need players who are comfortable on the ball and can take players on. Oscar and Sturridge, for example, should have started (They are on the bench so I assume they are fit enough for 90 mins). And it's not hindside either, it was said ages ago.Defence is excusable as it's a bit of a one off, they are rarely all this bad.

Not even that mad to be honest, looking at the team he picked it was obvious that we would get outplayed. No one could have predicted our defence being all over the place like this though but still, it was always going to be hard with that midfield v theirs. Be interesting to see what RDM does now.

Expected Falcao to cause us a lot of problems and score but 3 in 45 mins? Geez.
