When you say midfield, who are you including in that? I'm including Mikel, Lampard and Ramires. They are not better than Pirlo, Vidal and Marchiso. I agree that our team is better and that we shouldn't need to play defensive against them, it's just that the way Conte's Juventus play is with complete midfield domination and that is what is going to force us to be defensive, whether we set out that way or not. Their midfield has been hailed as second best in the world, only behind Barca and when you see them move it around it's no wonder people say that. But yeah, they could all be injured or something by then anyway.

Danny has always said he's happy playing wherever, he's even played LW and been happy so I don't know where he's claimed to have said he doesn't want to play RW. Is it because he's greedy or because he's a striker that you assumed that? Or did I miss an interview or something? Playing him doesn't mean starting him in every single match, he should however at least be someone we bring off the bench. Something that doesn't always happen. Could also argue that last season he should have got more games at LW.There certainly is some grievance to RDM in my view, maybe even more depending on how the season goes in regards with rotation.

Not underestimating his departure at all, simply saying that in Dembele and Moutinho they have more than enough talent between them to ease his departure. Things like morale however are a completely different issue and you're probably right in that regard but it's not something I brought up because it's hard to judge. Although I'm pretty sure Bale signed a new contract and reaffirmed his commitment to the club.I can say Moutinho is arguably better offensively because I've watch both regularly, that's not a swipe at Modric at all. They are very similar but Modric is a CM by trade, Moutinho is a CAM by trade and it shows in the way they both play. That's the only way I can explain it without it sounding too confusing. Moutinho could get into all those teams but they would all pick Modric because he would most likely be a lot cheaper than Moutinho (Dealing with Porto here, will probably ask for something like £30m+) and he is more well known because he plays in a top league/EPL.

Wouldn't really say VDV was a playmaker, he just floated in and around the box looking to score goals. He has already been replaced by Sigurdsson who is much more of a playmaker than VDV.He's played with AVB and fits his style perfectly. Carzola has never played in England but he's doing well for Arsenal because it's a style of play he's used to. Wasn't really suggesting they would hit the ground running either, that would be hard with all the transfers but in Sigurdsson (Better than VDV in pretty much everything bar scoring goals, VDV has a nack of being in the right place), Dembele (Better defensively than Modric) and Moutinho (As good if not better than Modric when attacking) they would have replaced VDV and Modric very well, much better off I would say myself. Obviously all based on the assumption that they get Moutinho that is.

Not really. VDV is barely a midfielder, he's pretty much a forward. Guy doesn't set foot in midfield cause he's a lazy git. Modric is easily replaceable with Dembele and Moutinho, those two together would be Modric on roids.But yeah, I think AVB even said no to Moutinho but I can't remember where I saw that. Probably spawned from twitter no doubt.

Because their attack is snail paced. They don't have many fast players and if Sinclair joins he will become their fastest player after Clichy. City desperately need pace and it's something Sinclair can bring, also helps that he's young and english.Although I do think they would be better off getting Walcott than Sinclair.
