  1. If that was directed at me then I was being sarcastic. If not, carry on chap.
  2. Remodez replied to a post in a topic in General Chelsea FC
I'm pleased with that, he's better playing deep and pick passes, moving forward, etc. He's good upfront too but he drops deep a lot and would rely on runs from Lampard or someone in the mid 2 to give him more options.
  3. Bought him for £22m, sell him for £30m.Seems reasonable.
  4. Considering the lack of service I would say he did well to be alert and take the few chances he got. I would be interested in seeing Stturidge upfront though, just to see if he suffers from the same problem, i.e. lack of service or if he goes around making chances for himself.
  5. Would have preferred Cole, Mata and Mikel to sit this one out.
  6. Not even Wenger has control over transfers. Ivan Gazidis and Dick Law are in charge of the transfers, I'm still not entirely sure what Wenger does.
  7. I agree with the majority of that. My concern was that at his age and considering the vast amount of games he's played his technical ability should be at a better level than it current is. Of course he will improve eventually but it will take a lot of work for him to get his passing, touch etc at the level it should be when playing for a top team. It's worth taking the risk because If he achieves that here then he would be a good player to have, until then he's just someone who can dribble and push players effectively and while that is a good thing to have at RW, it's not something that's going to help us achieve much this season.
  8. Not going through all this again. I've already made it clear what I meant, it's even quite obvious if you don't take everything so literal and apply logic and context. You rate him a lot, great. I have perfectly reasonable doubts. Looks like he's joining so lets just wait and see instead of knee jerking to one game. Didn't say you only watched him once by the way, the way you went and looked up that post of mine after the match had the classic signs of a knee jerk.
  9. I don't understand the question...what are you implying?
  10. Like this line up, would like to see Danny up front and Marin on the right though. Bertrand starting over Cole as well.
  11. After one game? Really? And he did nothing great, we already knew he's a good dribbler but his passing, crossing and shooting is piss poor for a top team.
  12. I wouldn't know, to me he was ok and did play well but nothing to get too excited about. Just the same as usual but I would rather not get into that. This is a regular occurance with players who want to leave Porto so it's why I brought it up. Raul Meireles, Bruno Alves, etc.
  13. They were the only team that beat Porto last season, hardly an average team.He wasn't great though but I put that down to him already having his heart set on leaving and not giving 100%. Same with Alvaro last season.
  14. David Ornstein, works for the BBC and gets his information straight from the Arsenal press office. As reliable as you can get when it comes to Arsenal. It's been confirmed that there's any option to buy and it's expected to be a low figure, 8m euros is the highest figure that's been mentioned which is around £6m. 2m euros for the loan deal and 6m euros for the transfer is the general consensus.
  15. Sahin to Arsenal nearly done, figure to buy him is expected to be something like £5m.
  16. Hazard wasn't priced at 40m euros and is younger. Fair enough about the other part though, not the first time I've failed to explain myself properly on here.
  17. Agreed. Was their top assister as well, seemed to connect really well with the forwards as well while the likes of Ramsey and Arteta would just keep passing sideways. Should be announced as a Barca player by Monday, if not earlier.
  18. I really don't see what's confusing about that? English may not be my first language but I don't think anything is out of the ordinary there? You probably need to explain it to me.I don't see what's wrong with the first bold part. As for the second bold part; "Pretty much the same" isn't me saying Valera is the same as Hulk in every aspect, it's me saying he's got enough of Hulk's attributes to make a great alternative to signing Hulk. Probably even a better alternative if you considering the amount he would cost in comparison to Hulk. Edit: Ah, I see why you were confused now. Apologies. I think what I said above should help clear any misunderstanding.
  19. Because Porto have priced everyone out bar us.No, I said I wouldn't pay that much for Hulk when we could get Valera, who is similar, plays in the same team and also a very good RW for less. I never said Hulk is only as good as Valera, that would be silly. Read what I said above.
  20. Well I do actually. Wouldn't say he's better than Mata or Hazard but then again he's not meant to be, they are different players compared to him. If we are ignoring all that and just basing it on talent alone then I would say he's as good as Hazard, probably better. I still wouldn't be completely happy with spending that much on him though. Especially not when we could get Valera, who does pretty much the same thing as Hulk, for way less.
  21. No to both, despite their make shift defence and midfield their strikers still had more than enough chances to win games. Hernandez and Welbeck weren't clinical enough, that's the only reason why they lost the title. All it would have taken would have been for Welbeck to have scored his chance v Wigan, for example, and we wouldn't even be having this conversation about their midfield and defence being a main problem.
  22. How is that talking sh*t when the reason why they didn't win the league was because of their strikers not scoring enough?
  23. Like I said before, we still can't service to Torres regularly so I really don't see the point in Hernandez. Them rejecting the enquiry is actually doing us a favour.
  24. I can't understand why anyone would want Hernandez. We can barely provide Torres with any service, imagine how useless Hernandez would be. He would spend 90 mins in/near the box watching the game go past him. At least with Torres and Sturridge they can hold up the ball, pick passes, etc.Berbatov is leaving, it's just the wages and contract that Fergie forced him to sign makes it hard to push for a move elsewhere. Still going to be in the bottom half of the table, they have improved their wings considerably but the midfield and defence (CBs mainly) is still pretty piss poor.
