  1. Fulham aren't scrubs, if Lukaku is as bad as people say he was in that friendly (I didn't see it) then he will most likely not get a look in at all at Fulham. Need I remind you about Kakuta? He would get just as much games here as he would over there, only maybe a few more over at Fulham. Season long loan however then they would be forced to play him due to injuries, fatigue, etc. So it wouldn't be so bad then. Wasn't being serious with the RIP thing. Point of it was that he should playing in a team where he is a granted starter or at the very least close to it, he won't be that at Fulham. Could have gone on loan to one of the promoted teams.Bolded point is silly and I didn't imply anything of the sort.
  2. More of a replacement for Young but yeah he won't make that much of a difference to them unless he can play in midfield which I don't think he can.
  3. No point in buying a player just so another team can't have them. It's either him or Oscar, we can't have both. He would get more games over there too as both our wings are already sufficiently covered without another purchase to be honest. Don't forget Oscar plays RW too so I don't really see the problem, sucks that United will get him but oh well you can't win them all.
  4. Needs more Romeu and Cahill & Luiz partnerships. Agree with pretty much everything else everyone has lined up though, no point me repeating it. Would also have Ryan ahead of Cole to be honest but Cole did redeem himself towards the end of the season so it's a tough call.
  5. R.I.P career. Wouldn't be so bad if it's a season long loan though, it's it's just 6 months then forget about it.
  6. And even if he was to leave it would most likely be to Juventus.
  7. Generally don't trust Brazilians from the Ukraine or Russian leagues cause they tend to get overrated to the extreme and when they do get called up they are always so average compared to the others.
  8. Unlikely he will go to Juve, Arsenal want at least £20m from them. Which is like 30m in euros. And with Juventus having making losses for the past seasons it's unlikely they will spend so much on a 29 year old, injury prone player. It's too much of a gamble financially, they would be better off doing well in the CL and winning the league again before splashing out on a striker. They could easily get someone like Cavani or Falcao if Atletico Madrid fail to qualify for the CL next season. Seems like it's either City or United to me.
  9. The latter worked for Sturridge and Wilshere, why not Lukaku? Why make it hard for him, you loan players out so they are guaranteed games. They then come back to the club to compete for places. Loaning them out for the sake of having them compete for places make the whole process rather redundant. Did either of them score?

That can't be right, I'm pretty sure he plays RW at Inter.
  11. Quaresma, Holden, James Rodriguez, Aimar, Belluschi, Manuel Fernandes...there's more but I won't go any further. If we are basing it mainly on personality then it's Lucho Gonzalez for me. Never met a nicer guy bar Zola.
  12. Because they already have 3 strikers. And I wouldn't be so sure, not with the way they treated Kakuta and he only had 1 player and a youngster in Frei ahead of him.
  13. Makes no sense to me. And if we have indeed made a bid that high for him why not go for Falcao instead? Would cost less and is the better of the two.
  14. Bolton had N'gog, Klasnic who could only play 20 mins due to his condition, Kevin Davies who had no excuse really he was just sh*t, a fossil in Tuncay and a crook in Robbie Blake. Hardly a tough task to break in ahead of them, any striker with pace and could finish would have got in ahead of them easily. Was why they got Sturridge. I agree but if we are sending him out to Fulham he won't get that. One of the promoted teams would be better, maybe Reading.
  15. Todd was never going to play many games regardless of which RB we got. if we are talking about the next 3 seasons then Ivan will get slower eventually and will then probably have to play CB most of the times. That leaves enough game time between Cesar and Kane. Ah, that would make sense. They also missed out on Europe so yeah, it's probably affecting them. Good for us though.
  16. Much better purchase than Debuchy in my view. Extra few mil than Debuchy for a better defender and also 4 years younger? Yes please. He's very vital to Marseille and has become their best defender is just a few years. It's why I find it hard to belive that they are settling for a bid so low, they will never get a good enough replacement for him with that amount.
  17. Every top team only has/needs 2 or 3 out and out strikers. Man United being the only exception as they used to play a 442 with 2 strikers so needed more than that. Now that they play a 4231 most of their strikers are going to be moved on. It's really not a big deal.
  18. True but the point is Ruiz is a better striker than Lukaku. He played upfront when Dembele used to play behind the striker. Also they are going to try and break Frei into the first team so Ruiz could get more games upfront or behind the striker if Dempsey is sold. Petric was with Martin Jol at Hamburg and he seems to like him a lot. Agree with Rodallega but they wouldn't have bought him for no reason, he's their backup. Lukaku would be the backup for the backup.
  19. Sigurdsson is a good goal scorer and can also play as a striker but he can also play the modric role. He did it well at Hoffenheim and at Swansea very early on (Effectively made Sinclair look good with his through balls) but was then pushed up once he started banging them in. Think it all depends on what AVB does with Parker, he's not the best passer so he may be drop in favour of Sandro. In which case another midfielder will be needed. VDV will most likely be sold too as he can't play in midfield, he can only play off the striker so in a 433 he's useless. They will get good money of his sale and he's on high wages too, that's the money they should use to replace Modric in my view. I know, Levy is extremely tight with his money. Just speculating really, nothing else to talk about in regardless to Hulk.
  20. Fulham have Ruiz, Petric, Rodallega, Dembele and Dempsey. Dembele is awful in front of goal so I guess you can rule him out and Dempsey might be sold. At best Lukaku would be 4th choice (I think he's better than Rodallega personally but Lukaku still has to prove himself). Also all three of those are capable of playing as a target man so it's not like Lukaku brings a unique skill set. Can't see it happening myself, would be strange to say the least. He would (At least he should anyway) get more games here than he would at Fulham.
  21. They already bought Sigurdsson, that's replacement enough going into this season. If they were wise they would get Hulk as their right mid is in a dire state.
  22. To be honest, Spurs have more problems on the wing than they do in midfield. Apart from Lennon, they have no right mid. Same with Bale but I think they have Rose that can cover the left wing. In midfield Modric will be a big lost obviously, but the likes of Sandro and Livermore (They have someone else too but I can't remember right now) would do a decent enough job for their style of play. VDV, if not sold and replaced, will be enough to hold up the ball upfront and create as well. So yeah, I would be more worried about them getting a great winger like Hulk. I don't think he's worth that price for us, but in the system Spurs play it would be for them. Unlikely though, Levy only just bitterly agreed to Ade's wage demands. Edit: Just realised you said 3 to 4 mid priced young players, not midfielders. Point still stands though, I think. Spurs already have enough good young players with huge potential, Naughton has just come back from a great loan at Norwich. Add to that Rose, Livermore, Sandro, Walker and that other midfielder that I keep forgetting.
  23. I for one wouldn't be surprised to see Hulk to go Spurs, would suit them more actually with their style of play. Spurs have more money than people realise, it's just Levy is tight git. And with AVB being there it will probably help reduce the asking price slightly.
