I keep forgetting Malouda is half Brazilian.

Chelsea B team?
Why would that change with a B team system? If anything it would better prepare the teams that got promoted for life in the EPL by playing top players in the B team. Can't really blame the B/C team system on that, Bacra and Madrid have been dominating Spain for years even before their B teams became good (Which really wasn't that long ago).

Chelsea B team?
Spain and Portugal have been doing it since forever though, it's far too late for something like this to work (and for teams to benefit from it) in England now. The moment has come and gone.

Nathaniel Chalobah
I think in the championship you can have 6 loan players (Doesn't matter if it's players from the same team or different teams), only 4 loan players can be in the starting XI though. I've seen teams in the past with more than 2 loan players from the same club.

Random Rumours
Sapunaru is f**king awful so I bloody hope not. Wouldn't make sense to get him above Maicon.

Andre Schurrle for 15m
If we signed him and Oscar, I would be very surprised if we got any other mids/strikers. It's already boardline overkill as it is. And yes, Jovetic would be the better option in my view anyway.

How many strikers?
Are you talking about for Benfica cause that wasn't the case, they always lined up in a 4231 and adjusted accordingly. We looked a lot more of a threat when he was making runs straight down the middle from the DM/pivot position next to Mikel/Lampard, it gave us another dimension to our attack. When he went out to the wing we lost that attacking threat and we were left with Mikel playing it safe all the time and Lampard not having much to work with. It's why I brought up the Benfica point, he started in the middle in a DM role and made runs out wide and/or down the middle. That's far more effective than starting out wide and just running down the flank. You realise that a box to box midfielder is the same thing as a pivot/DM, right? In a 4231 system, the player playing next to the proper DM (in our case Romeu or Mikel) is a box to box midfielder (i.e. pivot). That's an essential part of the whole system, some teams get away with playing two out and out DM's but that's not what I was suggesting we do with Ramires.

Modric Act II
He's not wrong, everything he said was correct.

How many strikers?
What are you going on about? You said you don't know why people said Ramires is a defensive midfielder, I told you it's because he's played there for Brazil and Benfica and you're saying I'm wrong because he's not recognised for being a DM despite spending his entire career at Benfica playing DM? I don't understand. He's never played on the wing as an out and out winger, that's a myth. In the Benfica system the manager realised early on that the left side was their weakness so he decided to use a system where the whole team would shift to the right. This would mean that the 4231 would turn into more of a 41212, with Garcia moving from left defensive mid to central defensive mid and Ramires moving out to the wing to overload the right hand side along with the RB and right winger (Probably the reason why he looked good as a winger to you) and get crosses in to Cardozo who would have much more space on the left hand side. That was only when attacking, every other time Ramires played as a traditional defensive mid/pivot.

Romeu interested in Barca reuinion.
The buyout clauses are normally accepted because the transfer fee is normally quite low for a quality player and also the team obviously want the player. If the buyout clause wasn't included you would have to pay a much higher transfer fee so teams will obviously pick a lower transfer fee and the buyout clause. Not sure why English teams don't do it.

God no. This guy is going to be miles better than Sergio B (can't spell his surname without googling), we can't let him go. Ever.

How many strikers?
Don't need another striker, we have enough and I prefer it this way. Now Danny can get games upfront. Worse comes to worse Hazard can play upfront as well. He's played as a defensive midfielder for Brazil and Benfica many times. It's nothing new at all.
-
Wingers?
Hazard can use both feet equally well, it's just that he prefers to cut in and use his right. Same with Marin. Kakuta is left footed too.

Theo Walcott
There really is no point in getting Walcott, would almost be as bad as the Benayoun transfer. Only thing he does is that he forces teams to play deep so it's easier to gain control of the midfield, pick passes, etc. His actually ability is pretty poor regardless of his goals and assists, not to mention that he's not worth the amount in wages he seems to be demanding.

Why on earth should Romeu go out on loan?

The Oscar thread
I know it's not our money but it's still a player coming into our club, therefore we can voice our views on the player. Like I said before though, I don't mind his signing, I actually like the guy a lot. That only happens when clubs don't particularly want to sell, M'villa for example could be bought for £25m and him and his agent have already hinted at leaving. And like you say, it's his money so another £5-£10m won't matter if we want a proper quality pivot.

I'm all for taking chances but for £25m that seems like an amount that's going to be spent on a first team player. It's no secret that Brazilians always find it hard to adjust to the EPL either, it's why they will always pick Spain. Italy, Portugal above England. There's no reason to kick yourself over it, it's just the style of play over there suits them better.I just think that for an important role such as the CM's, we need quality experienced players. And for £25m, we can easily get that. Of course I'm sure that we are still looking at others but for now we haven't heard anything.

Borini to Liverpool
- The Oscar thread
I don't really understand this one, he's obviously a good player but not only is he not really needed, it's also a waste to sign him and then play him in the pivot role. If we are signing him for the pivot, then there are much more reliable players that can be got with that amount of money. Just strange to me, not going to moan about it if he does sign but it's not a signing that fills me with confidence either. Would still rather play the likes of Romeu.- Borini to Liverpool
Of course he's unproven, he wasn't given the chance. When he was he showed he was a good player, he can't do much more. He's a poacher, regardless of the league if you supply him he will score. Tried of hearing "not proven in the EPL".Di Santo just had a great season for Wigan, one of their key players. Didn't grab as much goals as he would have liked, but he still performed to a very high standard. I've always said we should never let both Di Santo and Borini go, was a stupid decision.- Borini to Liverpool
Hope he does sign for Liverpool and stick 6 goals past us.- Stronger squad than last year?
Don't even think losing Drogba makes us weaker at all, certainly not in the league anyway. I would rather have the current team with no more additions than the one last season with Drogba.- Will Josh Mceachran be a Chelsea success?
I'm not doubting his ability, I just doubt our coaches in regards to our youngsters. Amount of times I've heard he's not ready or he's not good enough yet and then the player has f**ked off and shown that he was indeed ready/good enough is ridiculous. If by part of our plans you mean 10 mins of game time all season, then yeah he will. I don't see him being anywhere near the team, especially when the likes of Kakuta and KDB have shown that they are quality players and Josh has done nothing of the sort.- Modric Act II
Sort of player that would have problems adjusting to the EPL. Not really needed either, we already have talented youngsters. Last I heard United were looking at him. - The Oscar thread
