Which football player do you hate the most?
Struggling to think of any, maybe Johnny Evans for effectively wrecking Holden's career.

Road to the final..
I would say Torres cause I stuck £50 on him scoring and I won big bucks but really it has to be Ramires. Comes out of nowhere and I was expecting him to buckle under the pressure but he scores a lovely chip that even Messi himself would be proud of.

Our Youth on Loan
Really chuffed about this, both will walk into the team (Lalkovic will probably spend most of the time on the wing). Plus it's at a league that I watch regularly.

Yossi Benayoun
Why go to that extreme? I clearly said good winger for Bolton, not in the world. Christ. Ryo came in at a time when Petrov was doing poorly and their only other option was Eagles (Coyle seemed to hate Mark Davies or something so he wasn't going to be picked), once Petrov got back on form Ryo was benched.Wouldn't say never, when he was played he did well when loaned out to France. And I'm not saying he's world class either, if we are going to sell him then we might as well bump up his price by playing him and in the process we can know for certain if he really is good or not.

Might as well get Kylian Hazard as well.

Yossi Benayoun
Can someone tell we why we got him in the first place? I never saw any interviews or articles stating why we got him. Seemed rather random to me. You say that as if Eagles is a poor player? He's very good player for Bolton, was often their best winger but it took Coyle ages to realise that. Also Ryo didn't get games over Petrov and Eagles, does that make him a bad player? Of course not. Should know by now that Coyle is not very bright and his squad selections/tactics are very odd to say the least. Basing Kakuta's ability of that is just silly.I don't really see what the big deal is, play him till Jan (obviously not all the time but a decent amount of games from Aug to Jan) if he's not up to it then at least we have increased his value so that when we do sell him in Jan we would get a respectable amount. Bad enough we let good youngsters go but it's even worse when they are sold for next to nothing. If he is good enough then keep him, it's a win-win situation.

No one knows how good a player actually is until you give them chances, you can get an rough idea from loaning them out and reserve/U19 matches but actually playing them in the first team is completely different.

Yossi Benayoun
I don't remember anything of any importance he did at Arsenal, not saying it didn't happen just don't recall it happening. Even Ramsey was getting games ahead of him, says it all really.

Yossi Benayoun
Didn't like him when we got him and I still don't. Just a waste of space that would be better given to Kakuta, for example. And with the players we've already got he won't really be missed.

The Oscar thread
Bloody hell. Why would they sign Ganso? They have more than enough players capable of creating chances. Them spending anything over £20m is unbelievable enough but to spend it on an attacking mid instead of a defensive one is just absurd. Daily Mail is awful. Wouldn't base anything of that.

Our Youth on Loan
Good thread idea. Hope this is the last loan Bruma goes on, he's ready and should be playing for us.

Well he's already 21 and if we do sign another striker (Heard he can play behind the striker too but that's already overloaded) then it's very unlikely we will ever see him again. At the time it mad sense but once we couldn't get a permit we should have just left it.

Borini to Liverpool
He does but he plays anywhere along the front three. I think he plays on the right for Uruguay though. Not sure what's happening with Carroll but it wouldn't make sense for them to loan him out, they have nothing to gain from that and they only have two strikers currently. I think he will still be there come the start of the season, just won't play that much.

Romeu interested in Barca reuinion.
Clause only lasts for 2 years anyway I think, can't see them wanting him within that time frame. He would get far less games there than he would with us.
-
Borini to Liverpool
Think he could get away with it actually, scored most of his goals from the left wing by cutting in and curling in shots with his right foot. There will be some games where he may need Carroll just to hold it up and lay it off to him to set up a curler.

Malouda > Santos
You're taking what I said too literal, there's always going to be an exception to the rule. If you think Bertrand makes up for all the others we have failed to develop and then let go for next to nothing (Which makes it even worse) then that's your business. I however don't think it does. Also I didn't say we can't develop our current youngsters (How would I know? I can't predict the future), I said if we can't develop our current youngsters (despite all evidence pointing to the fact that we can't), which is probably the most talanted bunch we have had in a while, then there's no hope and trying to get tie up a deal to get Brazilians over here is pointless. They would be better off staying at home and playing first team football in their respective division. I hope things will change in the coming years obviously and I agree with the whole FA youth cup thing but I think we've all earned the right to be sceptical.

Romeu interested in Barca reuinion.
To me all it seems like is that he wants games, which he should rightfully be getting. There's no doubt he will go back to Barca eventually but if he's in the starting XI, winning titles, etc he's hardly going to go back to Barca anytime soon.

Malouda > Santos
Using Bertrand as an example is poor because I've been saying for the past 2 years that he should be in the first team squad on the bench at the very least, he clearly had fantastic potential. I do get what you are saying though. There's nothing wrong with it, I can imagine a link with a Brazilian club would make most fans happy. I'm just looking at it from another angle, no point having something if you can't utilise it properly.

Malouda > Santos
Depends on how the FFP gets enforced in the future and if it gets more strict. Assuming there won't be any major changes and it stays largely the same then no, I don't have much hope for Piazon. Not because of his ability but because he simply won't get chances. And that's not really what I'm saying, I'm saying that if we can't develop the youngsters we have had and the ones we currently have then trying to tie up a deal to bring over brazilians in the future seems rather...pointless for a lack of a better word. Not suggesting we abolish developing youngsters all together.

Quite excited about Jhon Pirez actually, will try and watch these two whenever possible.

Random Rumours
Wasn't great at LB there either from what I can remember. He looked much more comfortable at RB than he did at LB when playing in the EPL. Was probably the way Newcastle set up though, doubt it would matter if he was surrounded with quality players.
-
Malouda > Santos
While it's a solid idea in principal, considering our track record with youngsters we would be better off just selling him for the most we can get. If we can't even develop the youngsters we have/had properly then I have no hope for any brazilians.
-
Random Rumours
If it was a reasonable price (unlikely, this is Newcastle), I wouldn't mind him too. Was awful at Newcastle though cause he kept getting played at left back instead of right back. When he did play right back he was class.

Random Rumours
Not Chelsea related but Newcastle could be signing Bojan in a deal involving Santon going to Roma. Add that to the fact that they have pretty much signed Debuchy...I don't even...

Borini to Liverpool
He's had his medical at Liverpool.
