  1. What a choice! They are both the worst finishers that I have ever seen. I'll take Kezman over those two.
  2. So you picked his name, used his pic as an avatar, and yet you think he's not good enough for us? Well if Kalou thinks Kalou isn't good enough...... Kalou (not you) is sh*te, pure and simple. He cannot finish to save his life.
  3. Barnsley. At least I hope so. I would not mind if Pompey wins it though. I don't hate any of the semifinalists.
  4. Probably for the same reason that we signed Kezman, Malouda, Sheva, SWP, . . . Need I go on with the list of flops.
  5. I just saw the high-, I mean low-lights of the game, and I forgot about that one great chance that Joe Cole had in which SWP made a great pass to him about 8 yards in front of goal, and Joe scuffed his shot wide. That was our best chance, totally *#*^ed up. I could not vote for him as MOM just because of that play.
  6. I could be wrong, but I think Lofty is talking about our players taking bribes to lose that game.
  7. Now, now, we are all angry the day after yesterday's debacle. Let's try to remain calm. I am trying, though it is difficult.
  8. The way things are going we'll be lucky to get a draw How right you were, Moose. Too bad you will never see this post.

Point taken. I like your analogy.

I am glad I am not working with you, Peeking Duck. Just go on strike when you don't like the boss? No, it does not work that way. You will just get your ass fired!
  11. Why does it hurt more the next day? Shouldn't it hurt less? I hope it will by Monday.

Correct. Even Kezman tried, and how painful is was to watch him huff and puff and get nothing out of his effort. Kezman at Chelsea can be summed up as "all effort, no results." Malouda is the total opposite of Kezman in that respect; he can be summed up as "no effort, no results."
  13. No problem with doing so, Zompus, it is just that he should have done it behind closed doors. To do in out in the open right after the match ended showed just how big his enormous ego is, and how much attention he needed to be placed on him. Again, it just rubbed me the wrong way.
  14. We are spoiled rotten, there is no doubt about that. But when you see a team totally lacking in passion, that is when you get mad. Looking at the ManU game highlights, can their fans be mad at their team for all of the chances that they had? Maybe, but at least the Mancs were trying and were totally outplaying Pompey. Our players were going through the motions, and that hurts!

Is the French Le Championnat that poor such that a worthless player like Malouda can be a star in that league? Or was it because he was playing with a bunch of other good players at Lyon, who made a bad player (Malouda) look good?

The Community Shield, and then it was all downhill from there.
  17. No, you would not see Grant doing that. When it occurred, it really rubbed me the wrong way, and I thought JM crossed the line by a great deal by making his players look like grade school children . . . "Hey, boys and girls, it is not all bad, keep your chin up, because lunch is coming up in the next hour . . . ." I was mad when he did it, and I thought he was applying his psychological games again . . . If I was a player, I would have reacted as such . . . "Go to hell, JM, we know how we should feel after losing this game . . . Don't rub it in for the entire world to see!"
  18. Very good post, Chippy. Given that JM was a task master who made the players fear him to a certain amount, and given that Grant appears to be a very lenient block, our players seem to not worry at all if they go through the motions, since there is no threat of a thrashing at the end of the day. In that respect, I miss JM, since there would be major repercussions after a performance like today and like what happended at the CC Final, but these lazy players know that at best they will get a mild tongue-lashing, and that they will collect their bloated paychecks 2 weeks hence. Grant is the way he is, and he cannot be a JM due to his mild-mannered nature, so it may just be the case that we need a mean b*stard as a manager to get these lazy bums to play like they are capable of playing.
  19. Oh god, now I'm really depressed. Don't get depressed, Val. 20 years from now, it will be Howard's goal for Barnsely AT Anfield, AT THE DEATH, that will get more air time. At least I hope so.
  20. Good point. Drogs should have been on the substitute's list, and I think he was not. Unless he was injured, there is no excuse for that, given that Barnsley turned over Liverpool at Anfield, and thus was capable of a result just like the got today.
  21. The only excuse I will stand for is if the players had a bad case of food poisoning the night before, or if they were all fighting the flu. Otherwise, they should all return their wages for the past two weeks. Essien's Strike: How come your avatar is upside down?
  22. I just don't know . . . If team A has 11 players who are much better, player for player, than the 11 players of team B, then team A should defeat team B, no matter who is coaching team A or no matter where they are playing. Of course, we have Malouda, so the above premise is faulty.
  23. Does anyone know the odds on Barnsley to win the FA Cup, prior to their match at Anfield?
