That's not the same, as you well know. Cavani signing wouldn't be ideal for Lukaku, but buying Benteke would be undermining Lukaku's ability in my opinion. As for your question, it would depend on price for me. The amounts that are being mentioned are absurd. We're running out of options for a world class striker, I don't think Benteke is world class though.

I personally think that as far as young talented players go, Oscar is as good as it gets. As someone already mentioned, his footballing brain and intelligence in what to do with the ball is extraordinary, his work rate is very good and he has the potential to be one of the best players around. He's a very special talent, and as I said before, I can't believe there are some that don't see it that way. We must be thinking of different Oscars.

I agree with Mamizcar. Having the turning circle of an aircraft carrier and being slower than a glacier matters for nothing, Mertesacker is simply better than Luiz.
