The John Terry Appreciation Thread
So I can't be the only one who thinks he's been really poor so far this season. For years now he's radiated confidence which seeps into the rest of the team but tbh its almost like JT has shrunk over the summer. Whilst each member of the defence has been individually poor, its his job as captain to organise them and somehow overnight that ability has seemingly disappeared.

Can we "still" win the league?
Put together a defensive unit that can play the high line, a backup midfield playmaker to Fabregas and a more physically robust striker with better hold up play.

Branislav Ivanovic - Your Views?
If only there was a young, well-rounded and proven RB in the squad who could fill in for him...
-
Jay Dasilva
I haven't seen enough of the youth teams to comment, but from the few games I have seen, Jay DaSilva looks really good going forward and defensively. If Azpiliceuta moves to RB, does anyone think he might come in to the first team squad to challenge Rahman?

Papy Djilobodji
Wouldn't be surprised if its true, but going to take this one with a large grain of salt.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Isn't he about 6 ft 4 and still bulking up?

Unholy Confessions
Twice as good was hyperbole on my part, but I do think that he isn't getting the guidance he needs to reach his maximum potential.

Unholy Confessions
Going to stick my neck out here as I'm severely tired, the weather's rubbish and people elsewhere are annoying me: Hazard would be twice the player under Guardiola. (Please don't ban me)

Teams don't show respect or fear towards us any more...
I may be completely wrong, but it seems like we don't even work on our attacking play in training. Whilst we might not reach Barca-esque levels of passing and ball retention, it puzzles me why with the personnel we have that we don't attack with the same potency that Real/PSG and others do.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
I'm not disputing that he did, just that I would like to see it more often considering how difficult it is to defend against and how many defenders he can draw in.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Will never understand why he slows down constantly when he has the capability to dance past 2-3 defenders seemingly on a whim. He still lacks the killer instinct of Messi/Ronaldo and seems unwilling to put himself on the pedestal above his team-mates and make himself the jewel in the crown he should be.

West Brom vs. Chelsea (PL) 23/08/15 KO 13:30 BST
100% guarantee Costa would have been booked for diving if the rolls were reversed.

Favorite Chelsea Goals of all time?
Also going to add not a goal, but one of my favourite moments of all time was in the Nou Camp when Drogba picked the ball up in our corner on about the hour mark, shrugged off about 5 defenders and nearly scored from about 60 yards.

Favorite Chelsea Goals of all time?
The one against Ipswich, that one is remembered most fondly!

Favorite Chelsea Goals of all time?
Don't remember that Lampard FK somehow, absolutely superb!

Whats Ancelotti up to these days?

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I would love for this to be part of a plan to distract away from the players going into a big game.
-
Eva Carneiro
Mourinho is completely in the wrong on this one, the initial outburst of anger was understandable given the circumstances of chasing the win, but once he had calmed down he should have had a quiet word behind the scenes with her to iron out any differences. Its not like we didn't know he has such a vindictive streak (the Villanova incident) and if she leaves I'll be sad to see her go after the brilliant work she did last season.

Manchester City vs. Chelsea (PL) 16/08/15 KO 16:00 BST
I would go with: Zouma (proved himself every time and played against them last season), Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta. Matic, Oscar Willian, Fabregas, Hazard Costa.

Oscar - Little Diamond
Because it was more of a fluke that everyone missed, he dosent have the most exuberant celebration anyway.
-
Radamel "the project" Falcao
Few nice runs, but starved of service and pretty much anonymous as a result.
-
Chelsea v Fiorentina
Will never understand why Hazard dosen't run at defenders more with his ability to make them sh*t themselves.
-
Chelsea v Fiorentina
Whilst inconsistent, he at least showed flashes of ability whilst constantly playing on the right instead of the left, scored big goals against PSG and City, not to mention that quality hat-trick at Fulham.

Chelsea v Fiorentina
Not to be a Mikel basher, but why on earth did he not go towards that shot instead of allowing that rocket?
