Can we "still" win the league?

The next league games are against Everton and Arsenal and we're already 8 points behind, can't see us taking six points from those games, either 4 or 3 at least (I hope) which isn't good enough. We're not definitely out of it, but I think City will win it.

i think it may be out of our hands this season. i think we can run them fairly close into 2nd place, but city have bought well (bar stewards! lol) and with the addition of otamendi and de bruyne, you can't really look past them. it is way too early of course, but for me it's 60/40 for city to win it this season. i personally don't mind so much as long as we make a great showing in the CL this year. I would love to see us reach at least the semi-final of the CL and, to be honest, i think if the points gap grows bigger for city, we will see jose turn his/our attentions to the CL. the positive thing i keep in mind as how we won the CL in '12 with a inferior side and good fortune, so it can certainly happen again, gods willing

Of course we can win it, it's just far more unlikely than it was at the start of the season and not looking like it will happen.

It's still early so it's possible that we gain form and have an excellent winning streak and other teams slip up, but it is unlikely given that we are 8 points off the top after just four games, with City looking excellent and us poor.

With Mourinho persisting with the current formation and the same first team players under all circumstances, top 4 is the best the club can aim for. I see no reason why Mourinho will change his formation or player preference, especially if no further quality players are bought before the transfer window closes.

Of course we can, but unless City (or more specifically Aguero) are hit by significant injuries I think already the gap is insurmountable the way us and City are playing.

People still keep underestimating yaya. He's the reason why they're playing well. Not silva or aguero or any fancy media darling

If Jose is ready to drop underperforming players starting from our next match against Everton, then its game on, we can still win the league because we have a good squad. But if Jose like to continue with Matic, Fabregas, Ivanovic and co, then its game over Man City can start celebration from next month

Last season City were 12 points behind us and made up the difference, so there's absolutely no reason why we can't recover an 8 point gap. We've had a shocking start, but we have some incredible players, and it'll click before too long.

How exactly is Chelsea going to "click" when the same team and formation is always being played?

no way jose.....can any Chelsea fan hand on heart say we can go on a run of say 10.15 games unbeaten ..city have had the start we got last season,,we are not the first club to have title hangover the following season..i would be more worried that its 8 months since we trounced anyone Swansea away...a long dark winter awaits but stay calm and trust mr mourinho
