abramovich Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 http://lfcglobe.com/blues-tried-to-fix-ref...inst-liverpool/ According to Dr.dk, a Blues representative tried to pressurize referee Claus Bo Larsen not to give any yellow cards to Chelsea players before the match at Anfield. During a security meeting, a representative from Chelsea tried to affect Larsen’s decisions before the match. There was no money offered to bribe the referee but Larsen was told not to dish out any yellow cards. However, the Danish referee decided to ignore the comments from the Chelsea man and produced a yellow-card to John Terry, who will miss the second leg. “I have never experienced anything like this,†Larsen said. “We were having a security meeting in the morning and a representative from Chelsea said - Claus Bo, remember that we have some players who have a yellow card already, so think before you give a card to them.†“I have been to over 100 safety meetings, and this is the first time I experienced such a thing.†------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Surely after giving such an interview Larsen's own objectivity during the match can be called into question? I'm positive scousers will jump on it if there's any truth to it but it sounds like a lot of bollocks. This is the link to an original article if anybody knows Danish http://www.dr.dk/Sporten/Fodbold/Int.fodbo...4/10/125647.htm
Mod Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Jeez, we can't even have a triumphant win without someone making up sh*t to try and put the mockers on it!
nofizzleforshizzle Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Would have been all over the news if there had been any substance behind it.
clubhappy Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Thats a very serious allegation , if its got any smoke to it then it will go further , first time ive heard anything.
loz Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Not so bollocks after all http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...sea/7994991.stm Not the smartest thing to say!
forbzy Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Seems like an odd remark to make but it was also made in an official meeting with reps of both clubs present. I wondering if the remark was made as some sort of joke and it was misinterpreted. Highly unprofessional at best and Barnard should be fined by the clb. I doubt much will come out of it but shame that it has to take some gloss off a great week.
PloKoon13 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 What a cretin... :| At least they can't say he favoured us since he made sure our captain was suspended for the second leg...
The Moos Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 What a cretin... :|At least they can't say he favoured us since he made sure our captain was suspended for the second leg... He favoured us by giving Terry a rest and not having to risk missing the first leg of the semi final where we might face Barcelona (if we make it through). ^_^
TheWestwayWonder Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 trust lfcglobe.com to latch onto something to explain getting hammered in front of all the world Its a stupid move for sure, but definitely not the second coming of Calicopoli as the titles might have you believe. Someone said something out of line in front of several officials from the clubs and neutral parties. Its not as if he got home to find a bow-tied Land Rover appeared in his driveway with instructions on when and where to give fouls in the glovebox
sergeyMS Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) He favoured us by giving Terry a rest and not having to risk missing the first leg of the semi final where we might face Barcelona (if we make it through). ;) Moos......tssssssss!!! Not a word more about Barca. Lofty should be here with the speed of lightning and should taught you a lesson about complacency, calling you a c*nt and a half :D You`ll finish standing in Loz`s room, looking complete as*hole and cleaning yourself from Lofty`s spits. P.S. This case answer him he`s a fu*king w*nker. (to Lofty, not to Loz) Edited April 13, 2009 by sergeyMS
moi Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 some people never learn! I suspect he has a drink problem, for some of his posts are written in good coherent English, while others are almost incomprehensible and gratuitously offensive. he's still logging in all the time to read the posts, so it must be infuriating not to be able to leap in and answer points like this!
Virosh Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Good riddance, I say. I've been trying to avoid his posts for a while now. Language barrier or not, you can't get away with some of the stuff he wrote.
bennyboy1976 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Never seen the point of internet rucking myself. What is the bleeding point, don't make you hard or clever. Meet up, find a place out the way somewhere and have a go, surely that will sort things out in more productive manner... Either that or agree to disagree and move on without name calling.
TheWestwayWonder Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Agree with Virosh. He had some knowledge, but boy, talk about anti-social behavior. Ive never seen someone take personally the idea that someone could disagree with them. If that were the case, ES wouldve driven me to suicide long ago Never seen the point of internet rucking myself. Either that or agree to disagree and move on without name calling. Agree with this. Ive reached the point on other forums where I ended up spending half my time arguing, and just getting pissed off at a username on a screen. In both cases, I realized it was time to just move on and let it be. Sometimes it drove me to the point of wanting to stop following said sport.
PloKoon13 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 And he raised the issue about players on both sides as well... no bias there.
