Goldfinger is a great film and my favourite James Bond film. Some great lines, the wonderful DB5 and the lovely Honor Blackman.

On the topic of Bond films a couple of months ago I saw No Time To Die at the Science Museum IMAX. It was okay but at the end of the film I felt a bit flat and underwhelmed by it.

I think Goldfinger remains the greatest Bond film ever.

A fantastic Bond film, Goldfinger- not my favourite though- From Russia With Love. A proper old school cold-war spy thriller, Red Grant, the fight on the train, the charming Kerim Bey. All the elements are perfect.

I’ve seen No Time to Die a few times now and I thought it was in the main, superb. I see why you felt it went a bit flat at the end, considering HOW it ended. I thought Rami Malek was a poor villain though.

I've never been overly crazy about the Bond films. I've enjoyed every single one that I've seen, but they've never been a film that I've got to watch. Honestly, not even sure if I have a favorite. We watched Golden Eye about 2 years ago, and I laughed the entire time at the movie, because it was just so cheesy -- more so than I remembered.

Last Bond movie I saw was Casino Royale

From Russia With Love is a great film. As you say a proper old school cold-war spy thriller. A great cast including Lotte Lenya as Rosa Klebb. Robert Shaw was a great actor. I'm not sure why but I'm not a great fan of Daniel Craig. Perhaps it's because I was brought up watching Connery and Moore. The first Bond film I saw at the pictures was Live and Let Die. It's years since I've the books. I've a few somewhere at home.

I'm quite a bit younger than you it seems! I grew up with Pierce Brosnan, first film I saw in the cinema was The World is not Enough.  I think Craig has been a great Bond, though I do wish they hadn't interconnected his films. I much prefer the standalone Bond films where he is sent out on a mission and that's that. And it's a new mission in the next film.

Live and Let Die was the first Bond film I owned on VHS. I have seen it probably the most out of the lot!

I struggle with Bond as saw most as a child and only recently engaged with Craig who I thought was ok.

On Shaw always thought he was a good actor shocked to see he died in his 50s and was an alcoholic also did not realise he was Irish.

As far as I can recall the books are standalone. I've some of the books at home. Will have to dig them out and see if there is any continuity. I'd love to know what Ian Fleming thought of the way the films have developed over the years. He saw the first one, Dr. No, before dying. His lifestyle caught up with him.

In the Motor Show at Earl's Court in 1976 or 1977 was the Lotus Esprit used in The Spy Who Loved Me. It was lovely to see close up. A beautiful car.

New Thor movie :good2:

Next Thor movie will have Brett Goldstein Roy Kent from Ted Lasso) in it which I’m not sure I’ll be able to take seriously as I’ve watch lots and lots of his stand up.

Ted Lasso Talking About Me GIF by Apple TV+

From Russia With Love. A great Bond film. Probably my second favourite Bond film after Goldfinger.

With Lotte Leyna as one of the great Bond villains, Rosa Klebb.

Am watching Born Free with Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers as Joy and George Adamson. A great film. I think it was the first film I saw at the pictures back in the day. Based on Joy's book of the same name. A good read and somewhere on one of my bookshelves. Great theme song sung by Matt Monro.

Watching Some Like It Hot. Still the funniest film I've watched and in my top five favourite films of all time. A great cast with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and George Raft. With the best last line in film history.

I've lost count of the number of times I've watched the film.

I watched Get Carter 1971 version.

Thought a very good film as Caine the criminal tries to unearth what happened to his straight going brother back in his old home town who has been found dead in strange circumstances.

As he starts asking questions things start getting stirred up and it turns into a real thriller as to whether his moves  will nail the real culprit before they get to him.

More variety to the violence than Bond with the sexual liaisons and a story that reminds me of another classic for the time, Day of the Jackal.

It remains one of the highly rated cult British movies.

Just started watching the 1925 version of the Phantom of the Opera. It's a long time I last watched it. A classic film with Lon Chaney playing the Phantom.

I'm Alright Jack. A classic film from 1959. A wonderful cast including Peter Sellers, Terry Thomas, Ian Carmichael, Liz Fraser and Richard Attenborough. Tells of tensions between management and staff and trying to get one over each other. Wonderful comedy.

I tend to enjoy films from years gone by. I can count on one hand the number of films from the last thirty years I like.

Went to see a movie called Fall after a guy at work recommended seeing it on the big screen.

Essentially two women climb up a 2000ft tower in the middle of nowhere and get stuck up the top. Was worth going to the cinema for it, don’t think it would have had the same impact watching at home.

Just back from the game. Switched on the TV and The Imitation Game is being shown on BBC1. A good cast but a dreadful portrayal of the work carried out at Bletchley Park and especially Turing's relationship with Denniston. For me one of the worst films about WW2.

I watched Primal Fear for about the fifth time yesterday.  The young Edward Norton's acting was f**king fantastic!
