Watched it on the plane on the way back from holiday....was a good combination of action/satire. Thought I would give it five minutes before snoozing off, but, was still there at the credits, believe me, that is an endorsement given my attention span.

I watched The Three Burials of Melqiades Estrada the other night - Tommy Lee's directorial debut, I think - It was very good. Fine, quirky plot and a well-studied performances by a relatively little-known cast.

Just saw this - kept my attention and kept me guessing - really enjoyed it

In my ongoing quest to plumb the depths of schlock-horror, I'm now working my way through 30 Days of Night. Apart from the jiggly speeded up motion from 28 Days later, that I don't find convincing, it's doing OK so far. The vampires are at least a slight re-working of a tired genre, but the hero and heroine are totally bland and I really don't give one whether they get eaten or not.

PS - I should add that I am only watching horror films that have been on television and which I could be arsed to record - cinema is a rare occurrence when you get to my age, because it's mostly full of people like you lot

What an exciting life you lead, dear boy!

I watched Watchmen again last night. Although not a patch on the comic, it was still an enjoyable film. It was at least more true to the comic than V for Vendetta was.

I really should have known better...I decided to be a couch potato last night and watched "Blades of Glory" as it was on the telly, but now I wish I would have just gone to sleep. At least I might have laughed in my sleep...

Tunes of Glory would have been better!

Finally watched Funny People, starring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen, and I have to say it's brilliant. It's not as conventional a comedy as Judd Apatatatatatatatow's 2 other directoral efforts (40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up), but it does have patches of hilarity and it's a superb mix of drama and comedy. It's super long though for a comedy, it's 2 and a half hours! But trust me, it's well worth watching it all, because Seth Rogen is hilarious as always, and Adam Sandler shows the good side of his acting instead of acting retarded all the time (there are quite a few moments of putting on silly voices, but there is reason for it!). I loved it!

Watched "The Other Guys" last night, proper silly but made me laugh... helped along by Will Farrells in his words "old Dragon" of a Mrs being Eva Mendez.

My friend and I watched 'The Men Who Stare At Goats' last night. A little odd and a little thin on plot, but still pretty funny. Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey great as always.

Catch Me if You Can is one of those rare Tom Hanks movies in which Tom Hanks doesn't annoy me. I remember it was a positive surprise when I saw it. It wasn't what I expected from a Spielberg movie with Tom Hanks in it.

Yea I do. And don't call me Shirley.

Classic stuff:

[as the plane prepares to take off]

Hanging Lady: Nervous?

Ted Striker: Yes.

Hanging Lady: First time?

Ted Striker: No, I've been nervous lots of times.

Simple yet brilliant.

I watched Dog Soldiers last night, absolutely brilliant. One of my favourite action/horror films I think, it's superb. The perfect mix of comedy and gore, it's amazing!

One of my favourite movies! Very cool!

""This sh*te is bone! The most important football match of my life is playing tonight and I'm stuck up the backside of beyond without so much as a six-pack or a telly. It's England Vs Germany, man! Full-on footy war!" : D
