September 29, 201213 yr I'd feel aggrieved by anything short of a monument. As you posted the Swans I'll upgrade you to a bronze monument.

October 7, 201213 yr Two new albums being played back-to-back on my MP3 player, both highly recommended. Sugar's new release, Silver Age, can be heard in full here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/album-premiere-bob-mould-silver-age-20120827 Dinosaur Jr's latest, I Bet On Sky, can be heard here: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/exclusive-album-stream-dinosaur-jr-i-bet-on-sky-8135313.html Anyone who enjoys guitar-based rock will enjoy these.
October 8, 201213 yr Today I've been listening to some Northern Soul... Northern Soul is just like Aldi Soul - It sounds a bit like proper Soul, just not as good. (And this from someone who used to go up there for the all-nighters!)
October 9, 201213 yr Northern Soul is just like Aldi Soul - It sounds a bit like proper Soul, just not as good. (And this from someone who used to go up there for the all-nighters!) Northern Soul and 'proper' Soul were very similar in some ways - both produced classic tracks and both produced crap (in my ever so humble opinion)

October 11, 201213 yr So very true, Oh wise one! :) Nice that you agree, though I do wonder what a perverted pig-f*ckin' old hippy was doing listening to soul
October 12, 201213 yr Nice that you agree, though I do wonder what a perverted pig-f*ckin' old hippy was doing listening to soul 70's Soul, Funk and Reggae are my main interests, Steve. One of the reasons I miss Lofty being out and proud these days is because he used to post links to Soul and Funk d*wnl**d sites. That and Mike O (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me not one but FOUR amazing funk CDs. For nothing! I'll start posting what I play on my jukebox in here - three plays for sixpence :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7l1zjp_wb4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbkcWo5I_A8 Edited October 12, 201213 yr by yorkleyblue

And where has Mike O got to???
