geezer Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I'm having my picture taken with our two trophies tomorrow - SO f**kING EXCITED!! Anyone else had theirs done or about to do so?
ossie13 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Now I am jealous............won't get back to the UK till later in the year, so just have to wait!!! Cheers Steve
geezer Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 Actually I've just found out it will be with three trophies because the community shield is available as well. Looking forward to adding these to my collection of being pictured with every trophy we've won since '97.
Blue Celery Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Good for you mate. Got a nice photo taken with the FA Cup and Shield last year. Hope to do it again this year! With an added little bonus...the League trophy. :)
dkw Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Lucky sod, if i send you a photo of me can you wear it like a mask so it looks like me standing next to them?
sals Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 ridiculously jealous of that, reading your earlier story there are not many people that will appreciate it more than you. Well earnt and enjoy every amazing moment of the greatest moment of our great history!!
geezer Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 What an incredibly emotional experience that turned out to be. Kudos to the photographer who clearly saw how much the moment meant to me (partly because I struggled to answer him when he asked how I felt standing with the trophies). In fact I'm getting a lump in my throat thinking of how I was feeling at that precise moment (those childhood dreams coming back to me again). I can't seem to upload the picture on to here because it's been saved in an adobe file and I don't know how to save it into another file type so apologies for that but what I will say to all of you - if you do get the chance to have your photo taken with these trophies then do it. £15 for being part of an amazing piece of history is a small price to pay in my eyes especially having waited 44 years as a Chelsea fan to experience such a moment.
loz Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 e-mail it to me mate admin@theshedend.com and I will get it sorted for you

loz Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 And here we have it, Geezer clearly after a diet he wasn't on when he joined me for lunch in Greenock!
Scott Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Geezer or Michael Cain? I can't decided. Thanks for the new desktop.
Gem Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 How did you go about getting it done Geezer? Want to have it myself - I assume a normal tour of the museum? Cheers :)
Sheva Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 (edited) You remind me of that guy in WWF wrestling who went around with that tennis racket! can't remember his name and it will bug me for hours. Thinking about going on another tour this year and with those 3 being there it might be the best time to go. Edited May 22, 2010 by Sheva
moi Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Geezer has ALWAYS been awesome! It's just taken you a while to notice!
dkw Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 And here we have it, Geezer clearly after a diet he wasn't on when he joined me for lunch in Greenock! Superb mate, that has to go up as splash picture for one of the threads along with the players Loz. Geezer, you truly are a geezer.

Maksimov Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Great piece of memorabilia. Although I do think they could have been more careful with the lighting when they took the shot. There are great big shadows on geezer's face and great big glare on the Community Shield. Or does the picture just look darker(with harsher contrast) in that screen capture for some reason? Still, that's what I call a "Kodak moment".
PloKoon13 Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Is Geezer hiding behind that dashing bloke with the trophies? Excellent picture.
geezer Posted May 22, 2010 Author Posted May 22, 2010 How did you go about getting it done Geezer? Want to have it myself - I assume a normal tour of the museum? Cheers It's slightly different to previous years Gem in that you don't go to the shop. Immediately behind the shop (opposite the loo's) there is a staircase which leads to the start of the tours etc. The cashier is at the top of the stairs, merely ask for a picture with the trophies hand over your £15 and Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your aunt! They did actually charge me £6 extra for a pass to the museum which I didn't even realise cos I was far too excited knowing I was about to get my hands on those trophies but you don't have to buy that as far as I'm aware.

If you look closely at the Premiership trophy you'll see the photographer and the camera itself so no, not too clever but hey - I'm officially a double (treble) champion now so who cares?

Yeah, no reason to be picky when you're officially a double(treble) champion!

Cheers Geezer, much appreciated. Thinking about booking it online for next weekend just to be sure I get a spot. Do they email you the picture and get a hard copy? Fantastic photo, might have to dig my Euopean Cup Winners Cup photo now
