Day 9. Is that all? Seems more like day 20. I'm sure this is supposed to be enjoyable.

Anyway, not a classic day today.

First up Netherlands v. Japan

This afternoon we have Ghana v. Australia.

Tonight sees Cameroon v. Denmark

All three should be more enjoyable than last nights debacle.

Errr...can't say I'm confident as an Austalian :(

I'm a hardcore Aussie fan today. I need them to pull out the win! :)

So far, Japan has surprised me. They are holding their own against the Dutch atm.

Some power obviously doesn't want Australia in the World Cup this year...

Two best players sent off.

Next half, Schwarzer will be kicked in the face, almost die, get sent off, and a penalty awarded to Ghana.

Brett Emerton and Lucas Neil will then accidentally run into each other, one will break his skull, and the other will get sent off for diving.

Then a bird will land on Pim Verbeek's head, and take a dump.

And that will be our world cup.

Very unlucky, I must admit.

Holland's performance was as unconvincing, dull and unimaginitive as it was against Denmark. So far our opponents' tactic has been "containment", hopefully Cameroon will provide some spark. First of our group though, with both matches won.

Holland needs Robben out there, but he will be out until the next round.

I'm proud of the lads' effort in the adversity.

A truly brave performance, dominated large chunks of the game, despite being the man down...even though Ghana should have also probably lost a man.

Just play with some spirit in the Serbia game and see what comes of it.

The referee was attrocious today. Not just in the big calls, but he was far too whistle happy.

Six points and a clean sheet in two games without Robben is an excellent start for the Dutch. They did what was required to win against Japan without playing their best football. Van Bommel was my MOM.

Gutted. Harry Kewell getting sent off changed everything. It's one of those ones where if it's given for your team you say fair call, and if it's given against then it's the greatest outrage ever.

We had the better of the play after than I thought, and if Wilkshire scores his gift wrapped chance we are right back in it.

I am annoyed more at the bar I watched it at tonight. First they refused to turn the sound up, secondly they booted my mates out for daring to express their dissapointment in the form of obsenities, despite the fact they had flowed freely from the whole crowd during the game. Perhaps most dissapointed in the fact my housemate was managing the bloody joint and he did nothing for us all night. Disgraceful.

Cahill was unlucky, but Kewell was a dead certain penalty. Nothing to complain about there other than his stupidity.

Cameroon ahead with an early Eto'o goal. after some terrible play out of their own box by the Danish

Ex Chelsea favourite Jesper Gronkjaer is playing as a central midfielder for the Danish, and looking pretty lively so far

Great equalizer by the Danish!

Who are people wanting to win this one? For me, it's the Danes.... They have Gronks. The Cameroons have Eto'o who talked nothing but massive amounts of cow dung about Chelsea

The Cameroon v Denmark game was the best match ive seen so far. Lets hope the tide has turned.

I enjoyed the Denmark match. Watching Gronkjaer foul Geremi twice in about 2 minutes in the first half made me laugh . . . what was Gronkjaer doing out there? I thought he retired 2 or 3 years ago. Geremi crossed the ball very, very well, and made me think back to that great years he had playing with Chelsea. He looked in good shape, too. Some of Gronks crosses/shots made me think back to his time at Chelsea, with mixed emotions.

Enjoyable match, I'm happy Denmark won (I have a soft spot for Danes). This result sees Holland qualifying for the next round. Their opponent will come from group F (Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia). Come on Kiwis!!
