On RAWK, they had some pictures of Joe Cole doing the scouse "five" to the Manc fans - i.e holding up five fingers to signify their five CL trophies.

Leaves a bitter taste with me.

Haven't seen the picture myself, if thats the case then I guess he has finally found a place which he can call "home".

I actually love the comments on that link where a few are realizing that them and the Mancs are being run into the ground! I bet they'd be loving those 'Shady Roubles" right now. At least our club is run by a genuine football fan, and business man. Not just some playboy American that wants to own a "top European Soccer club!"

Hilarious

Of all our ex players the one with most reason for comment has to be Robbie D. Today's win takes them into the top four with 15 points out of their first 9 games - they have drawn at Old Trafford, won at the Emirates, knocked City out of the Carling cup and taken points off Spurs.

Fabulous effort.

Robbie really is showing just how good a manager he is doing so well with a squad of players lacking any real stand out stars and playing such entertaining football too. Future Chelsea manager maybe?

I think RObbie is certainly lining himself up for a potential gig with us in the future. The other ex-player was Dan Petrescu; however, I've pretty much lost track of what he's doing these days?

Pizzaro scored at the weekend thought he had retiried ?

He apparently broke the Bundesliga scoring record, netting his 134th goal.

He then sat through a DVD of all his goals with his kids and they cheered every one!

Wonder if he did the same for the goals he scored at Chelsea, maybe while waiting for the kettle to boil....

Albert Ferrer has been unveiled as the new manager at Vitesse, good luck to him.

Chappie`s a manager? Brilliant. Hopefully we get to play them in Europe at some point and give him the appreciation he deserves. Good luck Chappie.

Eidur should never have gone to Stoke. Never suited him in the first place and look at the way Pulis has treated Tuncay. Thought i'd have got to watch him play again by now

I'd almost forgotten he had to be honest. Real shame how his career has gone so downhill (although I guess it's on the way up again as it reached the bottom when he was on loan at Sp*rs!).

But when I list our "flair" players in recent seasons. all of them have moved on and all of them have struggled badly in one way or another.

Eidur

Duffer

Robben

Joey

Out of those, Robben is the only one who you could argue, still has the ability to remain at the top, but is currently YET AGAIN, injured and of no use to Bayern Munich.

Sad to see, but perhaps shows we have made the right decisions in letting players go.

I would have a fully fit Robben back at the Bridge tomorrow .

Still think when he is fully fit he is a world class player and one of the best in Europe .

Trouble is you will only probably get 5 games a year out of him .................now that is a luxury player

Right now his objective should be to avoid relegation, they lost last night to league leaders PSV 2-0 which doesn't make a good reading of their current form. Hopefully things turnaround at Vitesse with Albert taking charge this weekend.

Duffer's decline always made me wonder if it was because of Newcastle's malaise, or if he was just part of the problem. The reason I ask is he is still great for Fulham, so its not as if injuries have demininshed his skills. If he had never left this club I wonder if he still wouldve been getting in the first team.

No chance. He would have probably been a bit like Joey - half a game here, 15 minutes there, if that.

His last season or so with us was, at best, pretty average and he hasn't really set the world alight since he left (bar the odd decent game).
