April 12, 201214 yr they just regurgitated all the players we have been linked with and put it in one story...pathetic
April 12, 201214 yr Not being able to provide champions league football could be a stumbling block for these type of galatico's, whcih I think just disrupt the squad (ego's the size of their price tag). If I am honest and I am going to put it out there (go easy as I am a newbie) but would missing out on UCL next year be such a bad thing? Less pressure on the next manager for next season, of cause pressure would be on to get back in the top 4. From players coming in and out point of view it could be a bit of a blessing as players coming in will have that aim to get Chelsea back into the UCL and will want to play their hearts out for the club... Anyway just a thought. Adam Johnson would be a fantastic buy though!!
April 14, 201214 yr I think if Jose came back it wouldnt be a problem attracting any player. Finishing outside of the top four would make getting Jose back even more problematic than any of those players.
April 14, 201214 yr I don't think he is coming back whatever, I wish he was. But he would only then leave us for Unt when Fergie dies.
April 16, 201214 yr I dont think he would leave for United if he was at a club in England for a few years. What can United offer him that say City cant?
April 16, 201214 yr I can't see Jose going to United, he likes a challenge and the only challenge there is to be better than Fergie. That would take him maybe 15+ years and he wouldn't stay at a club that long.
April 16, 201214 yr In the last few years Jose has been nailed on to manage 1. City 2. Man Utd 3. Spurs, and yet he just signed a new contract in Madrid and might do the league/CL double with them. I dont think its out of the realm of possibility to say Jose and the family just liked London and wanted a new place there.
April 16, 201214 yr Oh, also I wanted to say we should buy Victor Moses. The guy is technically brilliant.
April 16, 201214 yr Oh, also I wanted to say we should buy Victor Moses. The guy is technically brilliant. No.
April 16, 201214 yr Oh, also I wanted to say we should buy Victor Moses. The guy is technically brilliant. Seconded, he's exactly the kind of player we could do with. Very direct, quick and skilful.
April 16, 201214 yr Seconded, he's exactly the kind of player we could do with. Very direct, quick and skilful. I'm not totally against Moses (thought he was going to have a breakout year and drafted him into my fantasy squad in August), but I thought this was an interesting contribution to the BBC live update today about him: Joe in Manchester: "For me, Moses is a bit of a Walcott - not enough end product. He could probably play higher than Wigan, but would need to play more for the team. A certain Mr N'Zogbia was in a similar spot last season and has struggled now he's required to pass and track back." (I was for the signing of N'Zogbia last summer, I will admit. Seems like I was pretty wrong about that one, although I also thought that Demba Ba would be a "decent" squad signing, so...) The boy does have skill though. I'd still prefer we take a punt on Hoilett if we are looking for wing players from the relegation-threatened teams.
April 17, 201214 yr Oh, also I wanted to say we should buy Victor Moses. The guy is technically brilliant. I think Moses would be a great buy and relatively cheap compared to other players. I keep hearing that Chelsea need huge world class players but I do not believe this, I think if you get the right players who want to play for the club and fight for the club and success then thats what gets you success. But this has to stem from the top down, from Roman and the manager whoever he may be.
April 17, 201214 yr I agree on Moses. Much better than Malouda, Kalou & Sturridge in that position, just need to work on his final ball.
April 17, 201214 yr I think if he came to us he would be just another Kalou. He looks amazing for Wigan but put him in the Chelsea team and i think Kalou would be just as good.
April 17, 201214 yr I agree on Moses. Much better than Malouda, Kalou & Sturridge in that position, just need to work on his final ball. Think we could be the club that could provide this for him. Cannot see Malouda at the bridge next season and Sturridge seems to have fallen out of cotention a little both with the manager and the fans
April 17, 201214 yr Oh, also I wanted to say we should buy Victor Moses. The guy is technically brilliant. Looked very goo last night against Arsenal but where would we play him and who would he replace? I think he is too similar to Lukaku who I think has the greater potential
April 17, 201214 yr I Have seen us linked with Franck Ribery before and although probably a pipe dream I always liked the sound of that However, having watched him tonight agains Madrid make an absolute clown of himself, throwing himself to the ground and not only exadurating challenges, but pretty much making them up himself I would be ashamed. And before those of you who point out Drogba's antics over the years, Ribery has taken it to another complete level of Bad sportsmanship. There's the normal 'he hardly touched him ref', but genuinely he has hit the deck 3 times so far with out actually being touched what-so-ever
April 18, 201214 yr Agreed, I found myself hating Ribery last night becuase of his petulance and cynicism. And this was against...Madrid. So that's no mean feat. I just remembered all those rumors about buying him for stupid money a few years ago. I guess not signing him meant we got Torres instead. Looked very goo last night against Arsenal but where would we play him and who would he replace? I think he is too similar to Lukaku who I think has the greater potential I think he would be able to come in here right away, and we have to send Lukaku out on loan next season. If we lose him, and Drogba moves on to pastures anew, we have Danny, Torres, and Kalou, all three of whom have shown themselves to be better as wide forwards than as dedicated, no. 9 strikers this year. Not saying it would be that way forever. But right now Moses looks like he has all the physical gifts to be a quality player in this league. Certainly another potential buy, becuase his record is anything but impressive. But agaisnst Arsenal he looked the business, drifing out wide like Drogba to pull the strings for the attack. He's certainly one to keep an eye on in future.
