Best Holte turnout I remember from our lot was in 79, turned out to be our last top flight game for over 5 years and what looked to be no more than 40-50 Chelsea scattered the whole end.

Mate was one of them fifty, it was Hickmotts coach, we'd already had murders at Villas main pub and after the game on the motorway police bikes pulled us into the hard shoulder and escorted the coach to a police station where injured villa fans did an ID parade and less than half of us continued home, the rest got nicked and there was some silly sentences dished out, Colin Daniels got a chunk and my little pal Kevin Daniels (no relation) got a Borstal. Having said that, those arrested had a great few hours early in the nick singing Chelsea songs.......... The agg at that pub was one of the naughtiest tear ups I've ever seen at football, we were driving past when a Villa fan threw a pint mug at the coach and the Duckett twins jumped out of the fire window at the back and went for it alone, we had to force the driver to stop half a mile up the road and run back the pub, the glass front of the pub was completely taken out and there were bodies strewn on the pavement....... Do miss my misspent youth.

Sadly I was banged up in Dartmoor at the time so missed this one, But CD is one of the best, and joined us on the North Stand a couple weeks after four of us started it, and became one of it's main players, even thou he was only around 15/16 years old at the time

Plymouth away was an awful journey, firstly there was always the stop at Taunton where the engines on the special changed from electric to diesel which was bad enough, then they used to hold up the train from then on to make sure we never got there early enough to riot in the streets. If I remember correctly that was the season when little known to the fans on board John Sparrow was travelling in the train drivers cabin and had to jump on to the track to get an alternative mode of transport to the game, as he was playing that day, just as well because we wound up getting to the match not that shy of half time....... Great day all round though, Plymouths firm were always value for money but that didn't stop us owning both ends of the ground................  I was 14 and those days will be with me till my parting breath....... Eddie Macs red white and green army.

That was quite a night, we kicked it off before the game at their pub called if I remember right The Lord Nelson, then if kicked off again outside the ground. We were in the upper deck of the stand near the corner flag, and started ripping up the seats and throwing them at the Filth as they started to attack the Chelsea supporters in the bottom of the stand, then they shut the gates to stop us getting out, so we went down the stairs, and kicked the gate off it's hinges, and stormed out onto the road, run the Filth and Pompy.

Can't tell you when, but that's the Shed after they corrugated ironed it off for fans safety because they couldn't afford to repair the floodlight.

Do you remember the party that Billy Hurley n mates came to in leyton..Show off pulled all the birds coz he played for young England hahahah..glad to know your mum is doing alright

F..k me whatever happened to Billy Hurley? I grew up with him on the Beaumont Estate in Leyton, he made his few appearances for Orient but his career ended early through injury, then he just wound up on the piss and ate too much Chinese and put on a lot of weight, his dad managed the local boys team Beaumont F.C which produced Vince Hillair and is dog was called Ossie, I've often wondered what happened to him as I havnt seen him for 30 odd years, any ideas?

Dear old Kojak, remember standing with him in the Shed at the 1st game of the 1979-80 season v Sunderland (0-0). He was wearing his blue dungarees without a shirt, and his upper arms were bigger than my thighs!!.

Main discussion that day was the 1st away game at Upton Park on the Mon night. Meeting place was the Green Man (i think) pub in Bethnal Green.

Discharged myself from hospital to be at that game

That Brighton pic...Is it the one where the cop on the pitch lost his helmet to a Blue?  if so my pals and i were behind that goal a third of the way down the terrace...Great day....SNOWY RIP...STEVE BALLARD...TONY SIGGINS....MARTIN and MYSELF

Ah Steve Ballard, grainy picture but I think I know who you are, who was the Everton fan from Walthamstow that used to stand with you at the back of the shed..... Do you remember getting fronted by George the Greek and his mob at Kings Cross station? Was about 1975 and a bit scary.
