March 11, 20179 yr Lovely article by John Hollins about Peter Houseman. March 20th will be the 40th anniversary of Peter's death and that of his wife, Sally, in a car crash. Their three children will be guests of honour at Monday's game. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2017/03/hollins-remembers-houseman.html

March 12, 20179 yr There is a very good article about the late Peter Houseman on the official Chelsea site. For some reason I can't cut and paste it onto here. Be very obliged if someone would. It is well worth reading.
March 12, 20179 yr Great interview with Chopper during half-time of the Spuds v Millwall game. Worth watching if you missed it. Some clips of the 1970 replay including Chopper showing Eddie Gray who is boss.

March 13, 20179 yr some roll of honour that, massive respect to them all rip guys, some faces I recognised from over the years I am 55 now and supported since first game in 1967,would love to have attended more often, but unable due to alcohol problems, that said I have been to games home, away and abroad, my love for the chels is as strong today as ever, cheers
March 13, 20179 yr I'd be interested to know how others feel regards the Pensioners link. I've thought for a long time that the club could do more to honour these chaps and am saddened that the club chose to end the formal association way back. I'd be proud to support the Pensioners and only wish that it was still the club's official nickname, it's got far more of a ring to it than "the Blues", and I'd even go as far as incorporating the old pensioner's head badge into the club crest now, there would be plenty of room for it in the part where the roses and footballs currently are, maybe even a wee gold star just to let those bums from up north (London) know who we are.

Considering it was the week after Hillsboro, people would have been cut to pieces trying to get over.
