I didn't go to the 3-2 game but went to the games in 2007 and 2011. The atmosphere at the 2007 game was brilliant.  I travelled to both games with the Rangers Supporters bus from Larkhall a few miles south of Glasgow on each occasion. Great banter on the coach and in the pub back in Larkhall. Two of my cousins are ST holders at Ibrox.

Am looking forward to the Chelsea Legends v Rangers Legends game at Sutton United on 17 June. A few of those playing in the game played for both sides.

We had good support in 1986, it took forever to get there as it started to snow leaving London! I was in a minibus which left Victoria 7:30am and didn't get there until 6:50pm!! Left after the game drove through the night to get home back to Bromley Kent at around 7am. The things we do for football!

Went to the game, Duncan shearer scored for us and the lights went out!!!

met some rangers lads that night who got us tickets for the rangers v Celtic 4-4 pissed down with rain game and skol cup final rangers v Celtic 2-1 plus loads more which we went up there and they came to our games, Leeds away 88 2-0 Liverpool at home they're league last game, both boro nightmares!!!!

great times and still keep in touch to this day!!

At the game at the Bridge in May 1985 Dale Jasper was on the subs bench. At half-time he had disappeared and a tannoy announcement was made. Something along the lines of: " Has anyone seen Dale Jasper?" Quickly follow with a chant from the Shed: "Jasper where are you?"

I did have a programme from the game but I think I gave it to one of my Rangers supporting cousins many years ago.

@Richard PThanks for posting. I think the Rangers player on the front page of the programme is Ted McMinn. a winger who when he was on form was very good but could be very erratic. Found this about the game at the Bridge. £2 to stand.

Looking at the Chelsea team that night. 5 Scottish players and 2 Welsh players playing!

The Rangers player on the front cover of the above 1986 programme is indeed Ted McMinn. He played for Derby County after leaving Rangers, I think.

@erskblueThanks. You're right, he did play for Derby after leaving Rangers.

I did at the time but what he did after was c**tish.

Hard Man Graham Roberts. It was hard to warm to him due to him being Spurs but have to admit he did a good job for us and helped win us promotion. What was it he did after?

The 4-4 game was the day before we neat City 5-4 in the Full Members Cup Final and on the same day as we beat Southampton 1-0 in the League. A weekend of lots of goals.

for me the outfits we once wore ( or me n my chaps from Leyton and Walthamstow wore ) make me smile. When I first started in the late 60s as a boy, I thought I looked cool in my jeans and anorak. Lol. Then we were buzzing when we wore a mixture of roll up jeans or staypress , with our martins, half inch braces and Brutus or grandad or Sherman shirts. We embarked on awaydays later in our embarassing bay city rollers outfits.. Titter ye not..as many ends were taken. As many femmes were kissed.. We then decided on bowling shirts with our names sewn into our breast pocket.. Seemed a knockout in the north west.. Then the jeans roll necks and named jumpers.. Top trainers...in between was the period of wearing butchers coats, bib n brace, and donkeys....Then went for the dark look... Jeans pumps dark short jacket n cap....now. Jeans or shorts on hot days...jacket n cap.. Pumps and my asthma pumps

I remember Roberts falling out with Graeme Souness at Rangers near the end of 1987/88. Souness blamed him for a late goal Rangers lost. Roberts disagreed and said so to Souness in front of the Rangers dressing room.

Souness sold him to us in the summer of 1988 I think after the European Championships in June.

one of the many journeys that went wrong....mid 70s..... I had a coach or rail ticket at the ready for Saturday. Midnight I get a knock. Terry scouse and Ballard and martin turn up...we have a car they say...sounded fun...i was nominated driver..Blackburn here we come....so it went ok to m1 or a1 ..were now on a cruise..pick up a couple of spuds going to Leicester.. Drop em at a turnoff and were off again. We stop a couple of times and drink. Not wise. The next I can remember is conking out near Leeds for some reason . We bunk a train to Manchester. Its coming to be a late turnup if we don't get things right. I think a bus was then got to Blackburn... I remember we had a long trot..we were knackered...got to the ground half time ish.we got into the side seating and had to jump onto terraces and our beloved Chelsea fans...didnt enjoy any of it..hangover..tired and we had to bunk a train home...

Eddie Ned's testimonial game Souness played against Roberts and the crowd roared as they went for a 50/50. After, both players were laughing and shook hands. Also remember Micky Thomas gave the ball away and dropped to the floor to do 10 press-ups!!!

Was at that game, standing in the shed. I remember the 50/50 and the roar from the crowd. Good that Eddie had a testimonial. Just a shame that his career was cut short by injury. Had another 10 years in him.

Totally agree, with Eddie around our team would have been better. We went through so many keepers in a short space of time, during and after his injury. Tony Godden, Les Fridge, Steve Francis, Kevin Hitchcock, Perry Digweed, Roger Freestone, Dave Beasent, Gerry peyton, Dimitri Kharine. That's up to 1992! Trying 9 people in 1 position in that space of time shows that no one really took the baton and ran with it apart from Beasent. He had a blip in 1993 and then we went down the route of changing them every 5 minutes again.

A few years after he left he confessed he'd received payments from Bates or something like that, got the club in a whole heap of sh*t.  These days always bangs on about Spurs.

When Graham Roberts book was published a few years ago.

It had a double front cover. One of him in a Spurs shift, the other was of him in a Rangers shirt.

The book wasn't that great, even for footballers biographies.
