Was it the 5-0 when Leeds wrecked the scoreboard think I remember my dad saying he was at it Yes crazy week, we had been down at Pompey on the Wednesday night. We could of clinched promotion that night but we conceded 2 goals to end in a draw. So we clinched promotion at home to "Dirty Leeds." I was on the benches by the fence next to the north stand, they got some planks of wood from the advertising boards and chipped off bits of concrete from the steps of the terrace. Then they attacked the scoreboard after some great displays of "Going up, Going up, Going up!!!" Wizzing along the display.

My dad was lucky enough to be in the players lounge after. We all f**king hate Leeds

At Ibrox Stadium on 2nd January 1971 some of the barriers dividing the flow of spectators buckled under the sheer volume of spectators leaving on Stairway 13 and the massive crushing led to many deaths and many more injuries.

People dying at football so sad.

Cannot remember any segregation on the slope itself and it was relatively easy to gain access via turnstiles to get up the slope however police seemed to have under helmet radars to stop Chelsea fans entering. After matches you could get out onto the grassy area behind the west stand as away fans exited down the slope and there was a decent drop down a concrete wall so you had a high advantage point , it got interesting one year when Man U were contained on the slope while blues fans outside were trying to smash down those old big blue gates.

Sure in 74/75 season home to Spurs ( Sept or Oct), after game as they started coming out, the gates got closed. Don't know how or by who, but their fans who had got out got pinned back against the gates, with no escape.
