April 20, 20179 yr Oh and those are two of my favourite Chelsea strips in that picture above. Noticed there was no shirt advertising on either strip.
April 20, 20179 yr Also back in the 1970s. Certainly mid 1970s . The lunchtime football preview show was either Football Focus on Grandstand Bob Wilson. Or On the ball with Brian Moore on World of Sport. I was an On the ball fan
April 21, 20179 yr England using the Bridge for a training session before the game against Scotland in 1957.
April 21, 20179 yr Bobby Isaac is a regular poster on one of the Facebook Chelsea pages, proper one of us. I'll post a link if it's ok with admin.

Cheers in advance. Remember going to a couple of blues v yellows matches in the early 80s. Stopping off at the little shop near Fulham broadway station or maybe the club shop on Fulham rd next to the shed entrance for the new Le Coq shirts (pre megastore) All the players with sun tans after their summer hols.and seeing them running round the lake at Virginia water the week before. Lots of them struggling as too many beers over the break. Edited April 21, 20179 yr by Shug

Started Boxing Day against Pompey with a sponsor deal with gulf air on our shirts for the first time. Although you couldn't buy them. By the start of the following season I think we had dropped it. I think the next one was Bates's farm promoting ice cream!! On the horrid Chelsea collection kit!

April 22, 20179 yr Cheers for the information on first team v reserves fixture. I like the 1957 picture of England training at the Bridge. Pretty sure my old man, my grandad and two of my uncles were at the England v Scotland game at Wembley that year.

The picture is taken from the north terrace that looks full and is round where away fans would be standing. Could be the league cup semi final first leg against Wednesday lost both legs. We were shocking at home losing 0-2. Around 91-92
