Remember that picture from 70's, I had a red football shirt for PE at school and had the blue Chelsea shorts with Umbro diamonds down the side with my white socks and yellow Bonetti Gloves I would love going down park or nan and grandads house with their large garden to play football.

Still missing. Went about two weeks ago.

97 parade. We turned up late and only got us far as the junction of Fulham Rd and NE road. I had been going to the bridge for 25 years and this was the first time I'd got off at West Brompton as FB station was shut. None of us knew the way ha ha luckily we saw a few people at the bottom of the road where the school is and followed them.

Jeff Astle taking the penalty in a FA cup home defeat.  I remember my dad coming home fuming after this match, it all kicked off on the pitch when their goalie John Osbourne sat on the ball.

I think that's Tommy Baldwin heading the ball, with Keith Weller looking on, but I'm stumped who the opposition is. Burnley?

Looks like middle of the 1960's as that's John Radford making life difficult  for Peter. Seems weird seeing an Arsenal kit without the white sleeves.

Empty seats in the background, fast forward 35 years & despite their successes, they never seem to have a full house, when watching highlights on MOTD?.
Could understand it if it held 80,000, but 54,000 imo isn't a mega amount to fill each home game.
Even West Ham draw in more than them, & when did they last win anything......???

Could be ersk. No clues to their identity with no club crest on the shirt and no numbers on the shorts!

Yes, I was there as well. I remember it was an irritating, annoying game because we should have won. Brilliant save by Bonetti from their penalty.

I didn't have a clue who the opposition were in that photo to be honest !

Cheers. I thought I was missing something really obvious and hadn't recognised a player I should have.

FA Cup in 1980, I think.
