In Dec 1913 we played on Christmas Day at home to Sheffield Wednesday, then simply known as The Wednesday.

Then away to them on Boxing Day and beat Spuds 2-1 away on 27th December !

The programme for 3rd Jan 1914 refers to us beating Spuds.

1914 would bring, of course, the start of World War 1.

I know that will I have that song in my head all day now...

 Joey Jones was a good player for us.

Hard as nails.
