What a great game subbuteo was, I had the world cup addition from 1970 and painted Italy's shorts so they could be Chelsea. Peter Houseman was slanted owing to me kneeling on him and having to stick him back together with airfix glue.

Great pics from all thanks.

Got the World Cup Floodlight edition for Christmas 1975. Teams then cost I think 60p.

Chopper's gran with the big cup!

Liz Samain, grandmother of Chelsea legend Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris, stands proudly with the European Cup. Liz was tea lady at Security Express, the firm entrusted to guard the silver trophy directly after Manchester United won it at Wembley in 1968

Great pictures, must have been a Shed photo shoot before the 1970 Cup Final, my Dad took me down to Slaidburn Street to see all the flags.

Great pictures lads & thanks for posting them.

Looking at Lofty's picture of the old bill standing around the raised platform,in a rather tidy looking Shed, made me think of a couple of long forgotten memories.

Firstly,(as it's been so long),how unyielding those barriers were. There can't be many old school supporters who haven't felt a touch of 'panic' when crushed against one of those fecking lethal things!.

Solid they look & solid they were.

And on a lighter note, looking at the terrace,in a big game, did you ever stand on you're favourite 'spot' with a good view, only to have a 6' 2" tall bar steward stand right in front of you 2 mins before kick off?............Bollocks!.

You no the scene,it's a sell out so it's to late to find somewhere better, so it's a case of stick it out or take a gamble?.

Lost count of the amount of times I watched a game through some tall bar stewards armpit!.

Better barriers aside,I'd bring it back in a heartbeat.

There quality mate though there does seem to be loads being re-posted, which is a shame as it'd be good to see some new old skool pics.
