I was a regular when he was getting close to Tambling's then record and was hoping he would get it yet things were not falling for him on the pitch and we were recruiting other strikers so was not to be.

By the clothing worn, it looks like late 1940s to mid ish 1950s.

Immediately after the First World War perhaps. Or the 1920s. Going by the clothing worn.

Will have a dig about later to try and find more information for this and the photo above

1966 against Leeds at the Bridge fans carry young lad down to the front. The way everyone is dressed it looks like a day at the races rather than the terraces.

I wonder what opinions of the crowd were back then. 6 years and a world war made this a must see game. Those that chose to gain entry anyway possible including those on roofs of the stands. We’re they classed as hooligans?
