May 23, 201511 yr I normally sell games on ebay or to mates. More hassle, but much more money. Then I can buy it from cheaper places like Amazon or simplygames. Put 20 hours into Witcher 3. Doesn't feel like I've even scratched the surface.

May 23, 201511 yr I'm too lazy to mess about with eBay. What difficulty do you recommend I play it on? I started on the second easiest (third hardest) but switched it up one pretty soon. The only thing I liked about the easier one is your health replenishes when you meditate. But fighting things like wolves or drowners (basic enemies) wasn't a challenge at all.

May 23, 201511 yr Wolfenstein The Old Blood platinumed. Well worth the 13 quid I paid for it, seen I can get 10 quid for I trading it in so I'll be doing that tomorrow. In two minds about getting the Witcher because I'll be picking up Batman at the end of next month and don't want to start playing something that I'll give up on as soon as Batman is out... So the game might be too big for me. Never thought id say that about a game.

Then you could trade it in to get a chunk off the Batman game if you didn't want it anymore.

I would normally do that but I've got the special edition of Batman on pre order from Amazon because their the only retailer selling it and they're like gold dust so if I buy that and the Witcher it's going to set me back around £140...
May 24, 201511 yr Judging by all the good comments on here I'll probably pick up a copy of Witcher later on today.

Wait... Can't you just play with your wife's copy?
May 24, 201511 yr Wait... Can't you just play with your wife's copy? Not if we're playing at the same time... Yup got two PS4s. Picked up Witcher today. Got 11 quid for Wolfenstein and had £12 on my membership card so only had to pay twenty odd for it.
May 24, 201511 yr Glad to hear your have picked it up, FCF! Right, thoughts. First of all, the graphics. Beautiful. I love how each tree is individually animated, the wind blowing the branches about. Really makes it feel like a living, breathing world. Combat, great so far. I'm more of a sword and signs kinda player, instead of bombs. I'm developing my fire sign, it's very effective I find. The purple spell trap that slows foes down is really cool too! I love how many quests there are to do too. I haven't played the game a huge amount yet (spent most the day revelling in our title celebrations) but I've enjoyed everything I have done so far. Managed to get the fame for £8.95 after trading in the other three for it, even better!
May 24, 201511 yr Same, Bluebur, with regards to the fire sign. I'm solely upgrading my fast attack and Igni (fire) sign at the moment. I think magic is done perfectly in this game. Sometimes it can be overpowered where you just cast spells and there is no need for a sword, or it can be underpowered where there is little practical point to it. Not here. You can slash at a few enemies then turn around and blast someone coming up behind you with fire to send them back. Great fun.
May 25, 201511 yr 12 month Xbox Live Gold membership for £19.94! http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xbox-one-360-12-month-xbox-live-gold-membership-19-94-after-5-fb-code-cd-keys-2213319 (apologies if considered spam?) Edited May 25, 201511 yr by the special one

May 25, 201511 yr Really struggling to defeat the Wild Hunt warrior in the Wandering in the Dark Quest...I've died a million times!

Bugger, I didnt realise you could upgrade more than just sword moves, just pressed right and seen you can upgrade everything. Can I knock the points I've put into fast and heavy attacks off?
May 26, 201511 yr Put a few hours in. Lots to learn very quickly, smithing to improve weapons is hard work because you have to find the right blacksmiths. Enjoying the game, my main critic would be combat is awkward and sluggish compared to how well Bloodborne did it and it's taking some time to get used to. Enjoying it so far but it's very early days.
May 26, 201511 yr How do you upgrade your magic powers? After leveling up you get "points" to spend. Press the touchpad button if you're on PS4/game menu for Xbox, go to "character" and then you have some panels on the left hand side of the screen. Scroll over to "signs", and then you have the option of upgrading your magic powers. Up to you if you want to spend points on Axii, Igni etc.
