February 22, 201610 yr Primal reviews are up: Forbes : 8/10 IGN : 7.9/10 Gamespot: 8/10 Pretty much 8 across the board. I'll try and complete Fallout asap and trade that plus something else in for it. Definitely getting it.
February 22, 201610 yr I think I am going to trade in Fallout 4- which I've barely touched- and get Primal. It looks good and you know what you are getting from a Far Cry game.
February 22, 201610 yr Decided to get Elder Scrolls Online. Can't go wrong for £2.99 surely. It's ok. Nothing amazing.
February 22, 201610 yr It's ok. Nothing amazing. I'm really enjoying it so far, which is surprising as I thought it would be rubbish. I can see how it can be quite boring/repetitive though.
February 29, 201610 yr So Far Cry Primal. Got to say, I think it's a bit of a let down. The combat mechanics are the same as previous games but you now rely on melee attacks a lot. Problem for me is that there is no defensive system so you are in a constant state of heeling your depleted health which in turn means you need to constantly farm animal kills for meat and plants for health. The story is basically non existent and considering that the last two games had such great villains this time around the baddies are just so meh. There's a lot to do as always but it all feels a lot more empty this time around.

February 29, 201610 yr Expected this. My wallet thanks me. +1 Called it from the first bit of gameplay. Just a re-hash of the last one with some daft additions.
February 29, 201610 yr Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game. There is enough in there to enjoy and keep you busy but it's just a shame that they didn't flesh out some aspects to fully compliment the setting. Planning to trade it in as soon as The Division is released.
February 29, 201610 yr Damn. With melee combat obviously paramount you would have thought some defensive play would have been added. Also heard it was a similar size map to Far Cry 4 but with more to do. Thanks for the heads up FC, will still get it when I eventually finish Fallout.
February 29, 201610 yr The whole animal taming and controlling birds thing put me right off to be honest. I loved the realism of the last two, especially in FarCry 3 which I guess they couldn't stick to completely in this one without having a really slim game. I like the idea of a game set at that time, but I don't think FarCry is the right game for it given how big a part the guns played in it's predecessors, and how good the gunplay is in them. I am dissappointed to hear about the story though, figured that would be one of it's better features this year, as it was with 3 in particular.
February 29, 201610 yr It's a shame it's come out so quickly. While Far Cry 4 had the same mechanics as 3, I thought it was a very good game as it had 2 years between them. It's only been just over a year since 4.

March 1, 201610 yr Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game. There is enough in there to enjoy and keep you busy but it's just a shame that they didn't flesh out some aspects to fully compliment the setting. Planning to trade it in as soon as The Division is released. Very disappointed to hear this. Usually Far Cry games are a must-buy for me but I have been very hesitant about this one. I didn't mind that Far Cry 3 and 4 were essentially the same games but in a different setting; they added just enough new stuff to make it exciting to play (like being able to ride elephants, the mini helicopter, grappling hook) but Primal looks like a step backwards. Removing guns is fine, but if they haven't tweaked the combat to include defensive play like Richard has mentioned, then that sounds a bit silly, considering melee combat is such a big part of the game. I'll be getting Just Cause 3 instead. Edited March 1, 201610 yr by Blueblur
March 1, 201610 yr Pretty much agree with Blueblur. This was one of my main hopes for 2016. Far Cry 3 was my favourite game on last-gen and I loved Far Cry 4 as well, despite it being similar. But I'm a sheep so still getting it - I need JC3 as well though.

March 1, 201610 yr Quite enjoying playing Mortal Kombat. Good fun with a number of different game modes. Mad max is decent as we'll. Who's getting the Division then? Is anyone waiting? I think I might wait a few weeks or see how the reviews come out before committing.
March 1, 201610 yr If you didn't play Cel Damage Overdrive on the PS2/Xbox, then you don't know what split-screen fun is, but if you did... REMAKE: https://store.xbox.com/en-GB/Xbox-One/Games/Cel-Damage-HD/04deaec6-6700-484a-9de6-3e9d3611823a?cid=majornelson
March 2, 201610 yr Any Pokemon fanatics here? Anyone play the original and best (till Gold and Silver came along) Red, Blue and Yellow games on the Game Boy/Colour back in the day?
March 2, 201610 yr Any Pokemon fanatics here? Anyone play the original and best (till Gold and Silver came along) Red, Blue and Yellow games on the Game Boy/Colour back in the day? Played Yellow back in 99 or 00. Been playing every Pokemon game (main series) since then.
March 2, 201610 yr Played Yellow back in 99 or 00. Been playing every Pokemon game (main series) since then. Good lad Zinc, I've always liked you. I just bought Pokemon Red for my 3DS, for £8.99 on the Virtual store. I own Blue, Yellow, Gold, Emerald and X. Blue and Gold are probably my favourites. I'm dying for Pokemon Go to come out! And the new Pokemon games, Sun and Moon. Poke mad!
